I want in! I have a small Coleman shovel like that. The handle is three pieces instead of two, but it is basically the same, except maybe an inch or two longer. It is in my light weight kit and I have used it several times. Obviously it isn't as quick work as a full size e-tool, but it works good. I am anxious to see what you think about that little hatchet tool. Having stayed in one of those little tube tents in the middle of winter, I definitely recommend you test it in summer. Otherwise I would say create a tie off point with a pebble on one end of the tube and completely tie the other end closed. Turn it into more of a survival bivy and use one of those emergency blankets to close off the front. But that is only for cold weather. Looking forward to your review!

Thanks for the video! But it's more valuable as a point of reference than an actual emergency kit ie Don't risk your life with it! I've not seen the actual kit but I have used some of the components. Shovel: Total Fail! 1) Constant shock destroys compass. Beware any tool that has a built in compass. 2) Plastic locking ring breaks easily. Mine gave out digging third cat-hole. Suggestion: Replace with good (not dollar tree!) garden trowel with a pipe extension. I flattened one end on mine to serve as a pick. "Hatchet" Multi-tool: No weight. No length. Won't chop twigs. Can be used a very limited splitter though and okay for hammering nails in drywall. Suggestion: Use a pliers-style multi-tool. How much did this kit cost?

I want in! That "tourniquet" is only good for drawing blood....it will NOT stop it, those kinds of kits give false hope to those that don't really know better. Realistically for 24 hours water is really all that is necessary depending on the environmentals, a debris shelter can be constructed easily enough for one overnight. A good quality poncho would be handy for constructing that shelter or using as rain gear, also I would be concerned about the quality of the items in that kit. I suppose you'll find out once they're tested lol can't wait to see that.

I NEED in Ive wanted a wood gasification stove for awhile just haven’t gotten around to getting one! I bought that exact kit for my dad this past Father’s Day and he loves it! We have used it a couple times on some hikes, more for testing it, and although the quality is cheap, it’ll last ya enough to get out of whatever sticky situation you’re in.

give the kid the kit!! ok maybe remove the knife.. The shovel would work to dig a cat hole or fire pit, I have a similar one as a back up. As usual the 1st aid kit is heavy on useless items like cotton swabs. I dont think I could even fit in the "tent"..lol... all in all though its not a terrible kit..
