Ive been using that Ideal 9 in 1 ratchanut for about 5 years. Ive been a journeyman electrician for 20 yrs I can say without a doubt its absolutely the best electricians screwdriver out there. The wire nut ratchet is beautiful and absolutely helps against finger fatigue when twisting wirenuts all day. I could go on but basicly this is the one if your an electrician. I have 2 and its the first thing I grab out of my tool box or bucket on the job

The Rolgear is my favorite. Super smooth and long reach. You can also use the wrench flats on the shank if you really need extra torque. Also, the bits should be inserted from the bottom to access a new bit. There is a little magnet to hold the new bit as it exits the handle.

The Williams is made by Snap-on. Only a few minor differerences. The old Kobalt double drive were gearless and probably smoother like mentioned. Sometimes can be found on eBay, but for a pretty penny. The new Kobalt are tooth and pawl systems.

I really love my regular WERA screwdrivers so I know I would really like the grip on the ratcheting one, the Williams looks just like my snap on at half the price but I will admit I’ve had my snap on for about 8yrs and it’s still going pretty strong but I would like to add that mega pro to try out. Thanks for the video guys can’t wait till the next one! TIA#1!

No. Mechanically, yes. But handle shape is different, and it lacks the knurling on the shaft. I have both, both work fine, but the williams is less comfortable, has less configurations available, and a crappy warranty (lifetime, bit williams is a pain in the ass to deal with)

I've been using the Canuck Megspros for the last decade or so. I've got several versions from the ratcheting, to the standard locking bit drivers, and odd security bit drivers. They are excellent tools that have never failed me, nor broken bits. I would not trade any of them for something else. I also don't believe anyone makes a better tool.

The reason the Williams feels like the snap on is because it is the snap on, with a different color. Williams makes those for snap on because snap on owns Williams, also probably the only one featured made in the USA.

I really like the short ratcheting wera 815RA without bit storage. I keep it in a drawer with a bunch of bits of different lengths so I don't need the on board storage and the small size for a ratcheting screwdriver feels less bulky in tight places.

I like my Rolgear because it's the only one with long shank double ended bits. There have been a few times where i would have had to use a normal screwdriver instead if i was using a short bit holder. My only complaint is the mode select is too light so it's easy to change the mode on accident.

I have a “Hyper Tough” ratcheting screwdriver that’s got these revolver style but holders, so if you know you need a Phillips or flat or torx or whatever, you grab that revolver set, then you can quickly rotate through them without having to take them in and out by hand or have them spilling everywhere. It’s not perfect for every situation and it means you have to carry the revolver things around (I use 2 pill bottles so the bits can’t get knocked out if they’re dropped) and it’s asymmetric and it doesn’t have a long neck (and if you use a bit extender then you can’t do the revolver thing) so it’s not for every situation but for average stuff it’s great for speed of finding the exact right bit.

Guys check out the Felo (non ratcheting) bit driver. You can skip the cheap gearing that 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 breaks, and use any type of bit kit that you'll just easily learn to carry around every time you grab your driver handle and you'll never lose your bits because your case is always right with you. The Felo is a German screwdriver and has a better ergonomic grip than the Wera. Most people just don't think of doing it that way but I think if you seen the combination of the driver and bit case next to each other it would just make tons of sense to you and your audience. We don't really need ratching action these days because no one is going to be hand driving huge fastners with a screw driver, we mainly use them for small screws and fastners like wall plates, taking electronics apart etc so having a full bit kit is ideal. I grab my Handel and I have 60 different screws, torx, nut drivers etc ready to go 👍🏻

The Williams looks identical (Other than the color and markings) to a Snap On I paid $49.99 for almost 30 years ago. Perhaps it's because I think about it being a $50 screwdriver when I use it, but I have replaced the bits several times over and still have the screwdriver itself without losing or allowing anyone to walk off with it for so long. I use it several times a week and still have it after all these years. It has never failed to work properly. I've never done anything other than a few drops of oil every few years. Overall I honestly can't complain at all about the screwdriver.

Sears stopped selling that style a few years ago and I haven't found anything that I like since. Couple criteria for me with ratchet screwdrivers. If it doesnt fit 25mm 1/4 bits i will not use it and if it has exposed bits its a no go as well. I have quite a few ratcheting screwdrivers and for me the best budget one out there is the Xiaomi Mijia Wiha, dont recommend it for using it in the field tho. I really like the Wera's as well but i replaced them with one's from Facom who are a class on their own when it comes to quality and functionality if you ask me. If you ever have the chance to pick up a Facom ACL.1A or ACL.2A for a good deal then do it. You will not be disappointed unlike the Bahco's which are total crap.

I have the Irwin, the Kobalt Dual Action, and an older Kobalt. I use the Irwin a lot but the bit tends to pull out when lift off the screw, the Dual Action is useless, and the old Kobalt works real well. The problem with the older Kobalt is the screw on cap at the end where the bits go in, when you are torquing down on it with two hands you can unscrew the cap.

One brand will feel better in your hand than the other. You can decide which that is. If you like the williams, save a few bucks, buy the tractor branded ones. They are like 27 dollars.

The double drive Kobalt ratcheting type screwdrivers are gimmicks at best. They do not hold up. Why? Because if you run into just a little bit of force while you are using the overdrive feature it destroys the internal gears(?). DO NOT waste your money on those types of ratcheting screwdrivers. Unless of course you know that you are buying a toy and not a tool. Then again, if you are buying anything but a Wera or Klein for a screwdriver . . . you are buying toys.
