She doesn't deserve any awards for being a mediocre actress who can't do accents and can't create a real character on film. You don't deserve awards for playing yourself in film after film. This is neither unique nor artsy. It's a standard biopic, aimed at getting her an Oscar nomination. You see who won this year? Renee Zellwegger, doing a biopic of Judy Garland. Kristen did this movie because she thought she might at least get a nomination but it's a bad script and a crummy director. She isn't working with A list people. The great directors don't think of her when they're casting their films. She's popular with the Twilight fanbase and that's about it. None of her indies have broken out they way Call Me By Your Name or Ladybird did. She works with C list directors and you can't expect fantastic movies from substandard creatives.

@@songbirdy Chanel bought that French award for her, she didn't earn it. You know how that's a fact? She was ignored in the US and other countries for that film. She got no Oscar nomination and not a Golden Globe nom or even an Independent Spirit nomination. Chanel co-financed that movie and were heavily invested in seeing it win an award. So I wouldn't crow about that so much. She's not "selective about good work" at all. She's been taking whatever was offered since she got caught cheating with her married director and derailed her career. She made a string of micro-budget indies with no name directors because no one wanted to work with her. Then she made the French films, Chanel bought her that award, and she got a few more offers in the US, but still not with top name American directors (except for the pedophile that no one else wanted to work with). The majority of the films she's made since the Twi franchise ended have been flops with the critics and at the box office and that includes Seberg. It was a huge bomb, and so was Charlie's Angels and Underwater. She's box office poison and the critics don't like her films, either. She has nothing in the pipeline, her career is a dead end. She handed her career to Margot Robbie, Emma Stone, and now even Margaret Qualley is doing better than her. She was never a good actress, she's survived on hype.

The reviews from Venice were middling, Actress is stacked this year with Renée Zellweger, Scarlett Johansson, Alfre Woodard, Lupita Nyong'o, Saoirse Ronan, Cynthia Erivo and numerous others and "Sebring" won't be as high a priority to Amazon as "Honey Boy" or "The Aeronauts". I don't see you or julianos with the French Oscar, something Kristen Stewart won under the direction of Olivier Assayas (a French director since you both seem like individuals who wouldn't know a filmmaker not born in America). Her paternal grandparents were Swedish - her grandpa was Gustaf Edward Carlson, but invented a new family name; Seberg (literally "See mountain" - se berg)...this trailer was published on her 81th b-day btw, but she killed herself in Paris in 1979, aged 40.

Director Benedict Andrews mentioned at the press conference for Seberg, that this film chronicles three years of Jean's life in which she was savagely pursued by the government. Kristen mentioned as well that this story was so successfully submerged by the government and that's why all of this information is now coming to light, that hadn't been discussed before and you can see how they were able to destroy Jean's life.
