Last time I gave a demo of a low code no code platform to a business user, I continued to shadow the business users in building these so cold shadow applications. Business users do not have time or it’s not expected from them do anything of this sort, it’s not their job profile to build apps. But I agree it’s a new era of programming really! Lots and lots of new ai based tools that challenge the average developer and at the same time lots of cool stuff to learn and u learn.

So, like Amazon Honeycode but with AI? What's the assurance that AWS won't sunset this too?
@Kerryu-c1f2 ай бұрын
It would be nice if they do. Things like this seem like they may help but I think they cause more damage than good. This is all personal opinion.

Look similar to Power Automate from Microsoft

not really but great answer! any better then google gemini is better with amazon

Doesn’t Power Automate require a license for each and every user of the app? So yes, maybe the same from a feature set and development perspective, but what about TOC and usage of apps next to and/or outside of the #Microsoft #M365 ecosystem?
@balojey2 ай бұрын
Of course, it's normal!
@maikvanrossum2 ай бұрын
@@balojey but it seems App Studio doesn't require that as it's PPU-based: $0.25/user hour. Development, testing and management of apps is Free.
@Sky_Lord2 ай бұрын
Doesnt solve the problem..because from experience business users are lazy or busy to develop the simplest apps. This will still end up the route of power automate, creating a new dev system that will have its developers, people will have to hire.

As of 24-July-2024 you are launching a product and there is no documentation at all + it is expensive as hell I think I will stick to Power Apps

Better approach for managing business processes is to use standard ERP systems, instead of docs, spreadsheets or own developed systems.

The end of mid/junior devs
@Kerryu-c1f2 ай бұрын
This is horrible. Cause most junior and mid devs are willing to learn. People who rely on tools like this are not willing to learn instead taking the easy way out. They have no place on my team.

Grosses shit I’ve ever laid my eyes and hands on for any dev product in the last 30yrs. Most torturously user impaired ash tray of a UX

For a totally free trial of only $500k shot to your inbox as a surprise bill and oh…my fav…a dedicated team with the sole purpose of making sure no part includes even the slightest existence of UX. They will make sure you’ve been dressed nicely 6ft under by the time you locate an instance ID that you apparently needed to do the other apparently 921,927 configs. Edit: after thinking about it. Yeah, it’s that bad.
