To be fair, it's not unlikely that Tommy was still in the apartment when Amber made that video. If they had just ended it, there is a chance Tommy doesn't have any other place to go/way of leaving the apartment on short notice. If I remember correctly they had planned to move away together somewhere? (Or was that just a rumour?) Then it makes sense for Tommy to not be able to just drop everything and leave that same day. We also know Amber likes to have her exes close even after ending it with them, so it's not impossible that she has simply asked Tommy to stay for a few days/weeks until they "figure it out" or whatever. Ideally, I'm sure Amber would like to find a new caretaker before getting rid of this one.

Some bad people are attracted to caregiving roles because they like having control over helpless people. Obviously there are a lot of good nurses, though I've worked housekeeping in many nursing homes and I've witnessed a significant amount of cruelty and indifference from nurses towards patients, and they look down on any other staff members they view as being beneath them. So someone being a nurse doesn't make me think they're above doing something like this.

yes, that was awful! james was admitted to hospital for weight loss under calorie controlled diet as every time he was home, he was actually gaining weight, and his partner snuck food to him while he was an inpatient, leading him to gain weight despite his admission. she smiled when she was confronted by Dr Now which was horrific. I believe Dr Now tried to involve Adult Protective Services to take James out of his partner's care, but they deemed him to be a competent and consenting adult choosing to eat the food he was brought and thus didn't/couldn't do anything. you really got the sense that the healthcare team was devastated by this outcome, as they knew that staying with his partner would be fatal but they couldn't do anything.

I’m not surprised it took this long for ALR to get into a feeder relationship. It's also noteworthy that BPD & HPD, especially in those who're (according to at least one survey) _AFAB persons in the medical/healthcare professions_ (such as nursing...🤔), are the most at-risk demographic for developing Munchausen Syndrome, now known as Factitious Disorder -- either upon oneself or by proxy. I'm in no position to diagnose anyone, much less those involved in the Amberverse, but hear me out: Tommy seems to show psychopathic tendencies that are associated with an ASPD diagnosis (lack of empathy, lack of remorse), and getting involved with Amberlynn Reid despite, if not because of previous knowledge of Amber, would _at least_ strike many people as Tommy having certain histrionic tendencies, such as desiring attention, regardless of it being positive or negative, and seeking it out for its own sake at any cost. If not initially inflicting, but worsening the health complications of such off-the-charts Supermorbid Obesity (known in clinical settings as a BMI of Class 3 Obesity) as seen in Amber, including what will inevitably lead to a person's death, just seems like a low-key presentation of Munchausen By Proxy - making another person sick, for the attention it gains for oneself; starting with an intimate partner who's already eaten themself into a Class 3 BMI (being 30+) just means finishing what was already halfway completed. I don't agree w/ _everything_ HG Tudor says on his channel about clinical Narcissism/NPD, but it is interesting to me that he defines the primary goal of narcissists to be the one in control, and thus why he considers BPD, ASPD & HPD - the rest of Cluster B - to all be variations of narcissism. Munchausen is about control. Feeders get off on the perverse amount of control they have in the relationship. Again, take this all w/ a pinch of salt, as I'm not her clinician; I'm not here to do anything more than speculate from the known evidence. I know that I'm in a relative minority, in that I still feel bad for Amber (I've known other people from similar enough backgrounds, so it's hard to not empathise, sympathise, or at least feel a modicum of compassion towards Amber, especially in her current situation). Fortunately, most of us in the Snowflake audience _at least seem to agree_ that Tommy is _dangerous,_ and if she weasels her way into _legally marrying_ Amber, with a modest but "comfortable-enough" insurance payout(1) and continued AdSense royalties, there won't be anything stopping her from continuing to victimise other _especially vulnerable_ LGBTQ women, assisting in their self-exits via food, even when they meet Tommy whilst still in an emotional position that's willing to be helped. My mother was much like Amber..my mother was a narcissist and was morbid obese. She wanted to die. Her narcissistic behavior pushed people away..I moved very far away. She ended up hiring a person to be her friend and cook huge meals for her. She slipped into a coma and died 2 yrs ago..I was kicked out of the will because I would feed her..she was very wealthy.
