Amber Guyger was stoned out of her mind when she went to Botham's apartment and started pounding on the door, yelling, "Let me in, Let me in." No one know how she got into his apartment but the medical examiner testified that Botham was sitting down and that the prosecuter said no commands were yelled because he asked Amber, "Why didn't the neighbors hear, commands being yelled?" and she said "I don't know," and the prosecutor said, "That's because you didn't."

You obviously haven’t watched this from the beginning otherwise you would have known that she wasn’t stoned out of her mind and how she got into the apartment

@@ritayammouni2803 She broke into Botham's apartment thinking it was hers. That's why she was stoned out of her mind.

It's really ironic, if she had aimed her gun as badly as she did everything else that night, Mr. Jean wouldn't have a scratch.

It all comes down to a fake plant and a red doormat! How ridiculous. This should not have reached a court of law. It was a tragic accident. A 'perfect storm'. I feel so badly for the victim, bit also for the defendant. But let's save the criminal justice system for the cases that belong in it!

I can’t say Amber Guyger is a bad person or that she purposely set out to kill anybody. What is without question is that but for her actions Botham Jean would still be alive. With or without intent we are all responsible for our actions. Accountability matters & should apply to us all!

She meant to murder him. You know your own house as soon as you open the door even if you were mistaken before you opened it. And, let's not forget that she knew him! I can't say what she will be, but I can state that on that night, she was a cold-blooded killer. May the courts have more mercy on her than she did on Mr. Jean.

I don’t think this officer set out to kill this man, but even if she was scared she had the advantage and opportunity to just turn around and walk back out into the hallway. I’m confused as to why her first choice was to shoot, most people would run.

@Steve W Police follow rules and regulations set forth by their department, which means, an officer would call the burglary in. If she did break rules and entered, shw would have followed procedures and screamed her commands (demanding authority) saving Botham Jean from herself. She blew both regulations.

@Steve W Armchair warriors don't kill 100 percent innocent people, so I will take your comments as a compliment. At least I am not in prison for killing a religious man who was no threat to anyone.

Have we got to the bottom of whether Amber issued noise complaints against Botham ? Apparently this happened 4-5 times

One really has to be scatterbrained to do what she did. I really have no sympathy for her. She murdered that poor man. Period!

I feel bad for her. If she wasn't a cop, she probably would have walked. They'll let anyone be a cop. They let her be a cop. The fact that she was a cop meant there was a little higher burden on her to prove why she killed a man in his home. She's an idiot for pulling the trigger. She will suffer consequences. But that man is dead.

I understand that she supposedly feared for her life, but on the other hand did she use one level of force higher that the level of force (in this case which is none) that was used against her.

I am so frustrated with the way the cameras are never focused on the defendant in this trial ! That is one of the things that make watching trials more interesting. We are never getting to see any of her facial expressions. Boo 👎

They keep trying to push the thing about her choosing to shoot because she is faced with deadly force. How how how are they going to make the case that it was a threat of deadly force when the poor guy was probably confused as hell about who was walking into her apt (and according to their reasoning would've even been justified in shooting her, right?)
