When my son was about 12 he had 2 mates stay for the night camping down the creek swimming fishing and a fire going supposed to sleep the night I heard him come in about 1am I asked was everything alright he said the boys had caught some turtles in the river and wanted to throw them in the fire to see what happens how long they take to die he put the turtles back in the river and ordered them off our place threatening them, this is totally irrelevant to the horror of this crime I just mean one with an ounce of humanity could have prevented this horrific murder I would NEVER accept the excuse of going along with something so horrific this was so pre planned not ONE bothered to even warn him, my very Scottish mum had a saying "It's got to be in you to come out of you " unfortunately they ALL are pure evil and should be going to meet Mr Sparkie

When my son was 5 and waiting outside for me to pick him up as we walked to/from his elementary school a block away. A few boys were stepping on caterpillars on the sidewalk and he asked me why are they doing that. I can't remember what i said but i was as appauled as he was lol. .... caterpillars turn into butterflies and i love Monarch butterflies which is the type of caterpillars they killed. Funny how we don't see these caterpillars all over the place as i did as kid in the late 50's/early 60's.. it has do to with bug sprays mostly but ..... killing them as caterpillars or butterflies is not acceptable in my book

My father had to flee Ireland because he warned some rebels when they were going to be arrested and executed. He supported the new Fee State government but not the hundreds of executions the govt carried on those who rebelled against it. He thought the executions were inhumane and totally unnecessary. Then someone warned him that he was to be arrested and executed, so he fled. He knew he was risking his life. That did not matter., Whatr mattered was doing the right and humane thing.

My dad was damned strict... The rules did not change... Accountability was consistent... Every night after supper my two sisters and I would sit around the diningroom table before completing our evening chores... We could ask my dad anything... Nothing was taboo... A moral compass was instilled at an early age... No person was ever able to introduce us to a subject that we had not already covered around that table... My daughter and my grandson have benefitted from this embedded sense of right and wrong... No one is perfect... However... This is what the negative side of that sliding scale looks like... 🇿🇦
