When my son was 5 and waiting outside for me to pick him up as we walked to/from his elementary school a block away. A few boys were stepping on caterpillars on the sidewalk and he asked me why are they doing that. I can't remember what i said but i was as appauled as he was lol. .... caterpillars turn into butterflies and i love Monarch butterflies which is the type of caterpillars they killed. Funny how we don't see these caterpillars all over the place as i did as kid in the late 50's/early 60's.. it has do to with bug sprays mostly but ..... killing them as caterpillars or butterflies is not acceptable in my book

My father had to flee Ireland because he warned some rebels when they were going to be arrested and executed. He supported the new Fee State government but not the hundreds of executions the govt carried on those who rebelled against it. He thought the executions were inhumane and totally unnecessary. Then someone warned him that he was to be arrested and executed, so he fled. He knew he was risking his life. That did not matter., Whatr mattered was doing the right and humane thing.
