They both knew it was a recording, and in the full recording she says it proves she is the victim and why she was choosing to record. But it is also what backs up the videos, dozens of videos where she is out with him in the public, where neither realized they were recorded... and she would just start beating him for no reason. The phone incident that she tried to say he hit her ...he had showed up to collect his things after she was caught with Ben ...so he brought the police, which is why that one was disproven and dropped in court (not to mention her own friends and the Instagram posts she made that confirmed his story). But the language she uses...she says she beats him and he "hits back" ....by pushing her away and leaving. And that she says she is "constantly hitting him and he is running away because of it". Then she doped him. No. She is. Clearly the one controlling and abusing him. Add in the the interviews where she stated she NEVER wanted to marry him and didn't want to be in the situation of the public eye, had no idea wht she was dating him (before they were ever married), etc. Wanted over 70% of his assets by California law if she was found to be the victim of domestic abuse if they were married for over 18 months (after he had so many movies in that short a time plus traveling with a band meaning he was rarely there)....and it was his help that landed her the roles she got (her words as her net worth was miniscule competitively prior and during the marriage).... you establish an unstable person that married for money, waited to file under the laws by the date allowed using the abuse clause to double the alimony and was careful enough to be seen with other men but not photographed, which would null and void the maximum terms of that alimony settlement.

I suffered just over a decade of this and I just couldn’t be rid of her. Looking back now it seems so bizarre, but at the time I just felt completely trapped. I even moved from the UK to the US to get away from her (just moving cities did no good - she’d find my address and be at the house at 4am hammering on the door and screaming... I was “asked to leave” more than one house by my flat mates) but she quit her job and followed me. She found me in a lovely little city called Lawrence in Douglas County, Kansas. Had to get the police involved in the end and get a restraining order (back in the UK). I just couldn’t understand how I couldn’t be rid of her, but eventually she was all I knew; she’d driven away all my friends and I felt completely useless and worthless. I “lost” a good chunk of my life, from 17 to 30. (Quite a few other girls showed an interest in me at the time, but of course, stupid me never acted on it because that would be “wrong”). It was such a waste. And she was my first steady (!) relationship. After that I never wanted to be in a relationship ever again. I found out I was suffering from PTSD which I had to get a second and third opinion on because as far as I knew that was what soldiers suffer from when they return from a war zone ; it sounded ludicrous.

I used to be in an emotionally & physically abusive relationship, & my partner would constantly gaslight me for this same reason. Of either me leaving to another room when he got violent.
