It doesn't matter because anything JD discussed with any of his lawyers is attorney client privilege. She would have ask questions outside of that scope. Having JD's lawyer on the stand is a HUGE waste of time.

How on earth are these recordings even allowed as witnesses. How's any one gonna cross question them and bring out the truth? Who's gonna believe them? It's not a very smart move on their part. Who's gonna listen through all those ramblings as recordings? I know I wouldn't

I believe these are depositions, which are done with both sides attorneys present. Both sides also have the chance to depose witnesses. Depp's attorneys may have chosen not to cross examine because they didn't feel that there was anything to be gained from it.

If Ambers team cannot formulate questions that can be presented and answered simply and clearly, then you have to ask why they agreed to take on this fiasco in the first place. They must have known from the start this was going to be an uphill battle. Throwing Ambers tantrums and hysteria into it has just put the tin hat on the case.

Why does she keep asking questions she knows are going to get shot down? He can't answer any questions about communications between himself and his client unless forced to by the court and the court would need to do an independent investigation of those communications to determine they weren't covered by attorney client privilege to be brought in as evidence. She can make the inference when it matters, starting so soon is only causing fatigue to the jury, when she wants to make the inference that this guys opinion was a statement from Johnny the jury will have tuned out by then. This whole line of questioning seems to be a waste of the jury's time and i'm not sure they're going to appreciate that. Keep in mind the judge has set limits on the amount of time each side has to present their case so this line of questioning is a waste of ambers time as well. Questioning lawyers is definitely difficult, trying to hold johnny as liable for his attorneys words without being able to determine if johnny was even consulted about making those statement seems to be an impossible task. It looks like ambers counterclaim is just an attempt to counter johnnys claims or reduce damages.

From what I’ve heard Elaine is not a trial attorney. Which seems why she was so confused & struggled to ask a proper question that didn’t call for hearsay, wasn’t leading, speculating or relevant. Didn’t look like she was very aware of court conduct. She was definitely out of her league and boy did it show. She might have taken the job to “get her 15 minutes” of fame, but I’m speculating. 😊
