personally i think that she's trying her best to forget her ex, but all she can think of is him. so she goes out with her friends and does all these things to fill up her life so she's distracted from the constant pain she's in. she tries her best to 'avoid their spaces' and avoid thinking of him but 'at the end of every bottle, all she sees is him', meaning she gets drunk so she can forget her sadness for a while, forget him for a while, so everything can seem alright just for a while, but it doesn't work. basically i think she tries so hard to forget, 'but forgetting's hard to do'. she drives herself crazy but still, all she can think of is her ex. but i liked your idea as well! it's really nice and i love amber too
