I received a bag of neon bulb samples from my mom's friend in around 2010, who is used to work in an electronic components company. This bag of samples contained 4 amber bulbs and 2 blue bulbs; 2 of the amber bulbs are used to replace bad bulbs in power strips, the other one is lost and this is the only amber bulb that still free.
This bulb is powered without a ballast resistor in this demo. To use these bulbs properly, always connect a ballast resistor.
Warning: High voltage is applied to power these neon bulbs. If you are going to play around with these bulbs or any other high voltage components, safety precautions must be taken or you may have a risk of electric shock.
