That reminder about Kamala’s handshake rejection from that Nebraska senator’s (white) HUSBAND, then the footage of him enthusiastically shaking Pence’s hand, followed by that list of Amber’s handshake rejectors made me want to cry with frustration and despair. It is impressive how Amber can make comedy from insulting, disrespectful situations and experiences. I can’t believe people are still doing such petty, childish, and hateful bullsh*t. If you watch the original video, it's clear he's holding a cane in one hand and the bible in the other when Vice President Harris goes for the handshake. Also, prior to the swearing in, he had to guided by his wife so he seemed a bit out of it. Probably best not to attribute malice to this specifically, though might be other cases easier to highlight.

​@@NukeMarine the way he interacted overall was weird, the handshake was one thing but you could see the anger/terror in his eyes and without Fox to tell him what to think in the moment he froze. Not a good look for an incoming senator when her husband is clearly too old to work anymore, she is likely too old too or more likely has no morals and married for his reputation. Go rewatch the interaction, someone took the bible from him while her had was extended. Do you always repeat what Fox tells you to think?

I just adore her and how well thought out these are. She is brilliant. And the second part of the joke landed for those of us who have read her book. Its called, "You'll Never Believe What Happened to Lacey." Its various stories about how her sister Lacey and her have been treated by racists. Its funny but very honest. The audiobook is read by Amber and her sister. If you love Amber, I highly recommend it.
