People sleep on grease all the time 🥴. Glad naturals are starting to see if applied correctly, and if you choose the right brands, grease can be one of the best sealants. You just have to make sure to follow up with a good clarifying shampoo 🤗.

I went back to Dax last year. Grease and water and Paul Mitchell’s The Conditioner. That is all I repurchase. And I only recommend using grease on wet hair and letting it dry for a day or two to avoid the greasy feeling.

I’ve been natural for 5 years. The first year I stop using hair grease, as I was listening to the natural hair community, my scalp felt dry and was always itchy. I've recently started learning about my natural hair and doing it by myself (I'm 14) and I learned that my hair is high porosity, it explained why my hair would be moisturized so easily and be so dry shortly after. When I started using grease and oil to seal my hair rather than trying to moisturize it with oil and petroleum product my hair feels softer and shinier than ever.

I use Softee Indian Hemp grease on my natural hair. It’s a good sealant and super cheap at Walmart.

I just went back to using the Softee Indian Hemp too. My mom used to put it in my hair as a child. It is probably my favorite grease. I bought the Blue Magic Indian Hemp as well. I just haven't tried it yet.

Yes Grease is the OG! We all grew up on it and had thick healthy hair. We also washed it out with sulfates tho, so clarified properly. Just was it out properly and it’s great!

Start doing henna glosses it will grow fast. Some henna, 1/2 teaspoon too start and your favorite conditioner. Once a month...

@@tsuyuasui7297 Mix 1/2 teaspoon of henna with 2-3 teaspoons aloe vera or more too a loose paste. Let it sit a couple of hours. Then mix it with your favorite deep conditioner. Let that sit on your hair same as your conditioner directions. Then wash out. Style as usual. Do not comb thru. Should detangle fine after rinse out and your normal leave in conditioner.

It's a game changer for me. I just went two weeks where I had to do nothing to my hair. Even when I washed my hair today, she was still moist, soft and juicy. My scalp doesn't itch either. The shine, softness and texture is unreal. She is gorgeous. You don't have too lather it on either. A little goes a long way.

I use grease on my natural hair, but I use a light formula. I don’t have the greasiness & it makes my blowouts last longer. You just have to find the right grease for your type of hair.

I'm literally going back to grease because my scalp is so dry and I couldn't find out what was causing it. I recently went to my old beautician to get my hair trimmed because I had bad ends. I told her to cut it and press my hair. Man..... When I tell you I smelled it when she cracked open that grease it took me back!! Let me say my hair has grown and stayed moisturized for over 2 weeks now! Still straight! Keep in mind I haven't relaxed my hair in 7 to 8 years! My hair was flowing and blowing in the wind! I'm going back to grease again! I had long hair when I was a kid. Now I can't kick all my natural hair products like my Camille Rose but I will be greasing my scalp and my ends from now on.

I'm natural & it's nothing wrong with using hair grease/pomade. Find the right one & stick to it & your hair will be just fine. Doo Gro, Super Gro, Royal Crown, & Murray's are my favorites.

Grease is not bad for your scalp and hair. It’s actually pretty good. It’s not a moisturizer but a sealant. As long as you remember that you’ll be fine. I use grease on my hair and scalp and my hair is growing.

I have a real bad case of flaky scalp. I started using medicated shampoo and medicated grease on the scalp and it went away. I literally did not see my flakes again until I ran out of the products and stopped using them

I use Dax pressing oil when flat ironing my natural hair. That's the only way my hair won't revert. I use a small dab of my fingertip so I don't have a greasy mess you won't know I used any grease. Great results!

Use a lighter grease, like sofftee . They have a mango butter one I love, smells great, light like a coconut oil grease but coats the strands with far less product.

I transitioned from perm to natural in 2013 and I stopped using hair grease since.... (memory lose here). That's how long. I remember the greasy feeling and still use to grease my hair every 2 days. Now hydrating my hair and using moisturizing products pays off big time. Your hair looks so beautiful and healthy no matter what you try.

I know I’m a few years late but I just have to say that when Bantu knots were my go to look grease made huge difference. I tried it without grease a few times after everyone said how bad it was for your hair and my Bantu never were never the same. Grease was slept on for too long lol

I use Tropic Isle Jamaican Castor Hair Food as my "grease". It's both a moisturiser and sealant. The wax elements ensure great definition and the initial greasiness fades away as my hair absorbs it, leaving it lovely; soft and defined (I keep my hair in twists).

Using grease on your scalp is so good for your hair. I use black magic grease on my scalp, not my hair strands, for nourishment. Black magic grease smells great. I used it while I had relaxed hair snd now that I'm natural.

I am a greaser but it is a scalp conditioner so it should be on the scalp and it will go through your hair and it will keep your hair conditions for a while. Im a basic natural hair girl. I grease my scalp and wash every other week. And it lasts a long time. Its very good for dry hair but if you tend to be more oily o wouldn't recommend it.

I love your results! I don't use grease but you make me want to. lol! I don't like the greasy feeling either but from what I remember that oily feeling should start going away each day. So by day 3 or 4 it won't be as oily. I would assume you wouldn't need to add any more moisture/oil the rest of the week. My hair isn't as long or as thick as your hair so I would definitely try less. I also want to try the function of beauty hair products. I love how custom they are.

I have recently been using Natty naturals Bohemian Collection Hair + Body Butter the same way you used the DAX grease... I start by spritzing my hair with a mixture of water+Amala/Lavender/Ginger/Rosemary oils and then the butter and I Flat twist just like you did...LOVE TGE RESULTS!

I tried it when i had exams a couple months ago i put aloooooot of it and then twisted my hair, i did this every week for one month and i lost aloooot of hair so be careful with it and use tiny pea size for every chuncky twist don't be crazy like me and handle it like a leave in conditioner that's the worst thing to do i'm telling you girls🙅‍♀️ fantastic results btw 😍😍👏🏼

My hair loved Tcb hairfood, the light green green grease, it made my hair soft, smooth and shiny it actually penetrated the hair and didn't flare up my hand eczema unlike the original yellow one which just sat on my hair and made it stiff. Ever since they stopped making the green hairfood I haven't found a hair grease that works for me. So annoying!

I have used blue magic which was fine. My mum combed my hair with castor, Breil cream or vaseline for years. But Dax, for me was a no no because my hair started to break off big time. I threw Dax in the bin. My favourite grease is natural shea butter which i love.
