I do something similar here in Ontario to Opening Gates, but all my work is ground work - no riding involved. I work with individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities and I love what I do....to see the confidence build and the clients grow and learn about farm animals and the connections they make with the horses is amazing. Love following you and what you do!!! Amazing work Amber.

My first horse and heart horse was a therapy horse for kids with disabilities and even adults recovering from physical trauma. She was the most gentle horse and being able to volunteer there when I was younger was some of my favorite years of my childhood. The woman who owned her actually ended up, gifting her to me it was the best day of my life, we had the same name, I was Grace and she was Gracie. I have freckles and she was flea bitten gray. My angel horse ❤ Thank you for your constant contributions and unwavering selflessness. You were such a strong female role model in my life growing up with heartland and growing with you. Stay warm and safe! ❤

Hey Amber I agree flowers and warmer weather is much better then snow but still really pretty. Love your charity you picked out my friend helps here with a group called Project Hope. Equine therapy helps so much, they even have trick or treat in the Fall on horseback. We go out to groom and ride whenever we want it’s such a blessing and a lot of fun the horses are rescues ❤

You made my day today with another wonderful episode of Ramblin rides! It’s so fun to see how much Autumn enjoys the snow.😂 I will be praying that Rosie and Lily will have safe births. Spring is such a wonderful time for new calves even in over 18 inches of snow. Wow!!😮 opening gates looks like such an awesome organization. I don't have regular television anymore but I used to watch Heartland. I just found this channel, somehow it popped up. I do not envy you the snow! I like my snow in the wintertime. I have a lot of respect for Albertans, and have family there on the paternal side in the Peace River. I once visited Calgary in 2001 for Spruce Meadows Masters. I guess most significantly all but 2 of my horses were bought as weanlings from near Bonnyville Alberta. They are awesome Percherons which I raised, trained, and work with farming and logging here in Ontario.

The good thing is at this time of year the snow melts very quickly. We have family in Alberta, but we’re in Manitoba. Thankfully the snow missed us, but we did get rain. That sounds like an awesome charity.

Haha I live in Maine and we got hit with two big snow storms in April, but the good thing is spring snow melts fast. My daughter did therapeutic riding when she was young and seeing kids that were non verbal light up and get so animated when they were on a horse was truly amazing to watch! We need more places like these, they really make a difference:)

Hi Amber the snow looks good, at least it's fluffy, easy to shovel Alberta will be 50 to 60 degrees soon the snow will be gone and it will be beautiful there. We been in the hi 70 to 80 degrees but raining everyday in Tol. Ohio. Animals are looking very healthy..enjoy your week....

When you read about people who wanna move to Alberta because of the show heartland, I met a lady and her husband, and they came from halfway around the world. She didn’t exactly say where, but she didn’t realize that our temperatures when it becomes winter can reach up to -50 and the windchill is equally bad, but all in all we have some good mild winters and it gets better from there. so Amber‘s been living here for 18 years well I’ve lived here for 61 and I’ve seen quite a few months of May where it rained and then princess island Park, which is within Calgary basically has flooded quite a few times so it’s no surprise when snowstorms showing up in the middle of May, I’ve seen it happen in July during the Calgary stampede where it called for rain and next thing you know it’s snowing. ☺️
