I love the lighter look of classicist/Gustavian/Georgian interiors compared to the currently hugely popular dark Victorian look - so finding this one made me very, very happy. Also, as a cat person living in a pet-free flat, I welcomed the cat purring. ;-) Thank you!

@@ambienceofyesteryear6871 I've been watching the 2005 Pride and Prejudice on repeat! Several of your videos really capture the same spirit of the movie's depiction of the Bennet home but I'd love to see an ambience video styled after Pemberley. I love the room present in these two scenes with Georgiana (kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6ndgq2qoJugm8U - honestly that first clip might be my favorite scene in the whole movie - and kzbin.info/www/bejne/naWsppSko6ZkjLc). It's the Double Cube room in Wilton House and I just LOVE the aesthetic. The room is a really pleasant mix of exquisite furnishings and tasteful airiness (it doesn't have the gaudy dimness of, say, Lady Catherine's house in the same movie). I love how the sunshine streams into the room, it makes nature feel close at hand. The first clip itself already has the makings of an ambience video: birdsong, echoing footsteps and the hints of soft music from an unseen piano forte drifting through the sleepy rooms (the movie's soundtrack was inspired by Beethoven's early piano sonatas, which is in the public domain if you like the idea of having a faraway piano player). Maybe there would be the rustling sounds of someone reading a book just out of frame and a gentle breeze from an open window ^_^ If that piques your fancy, I'd love to see it! I haven't been able to find an equivalent in any other ambience video that's already out. If not, then worry not! Create whatever scenes you're passionate about - your evident passion is what makes these scenes so wonderful and I look forward to seeing whatever you make :)

Thank you so much for these videos! It's a great way to escape the confinement or just the daily routine, to imagine ourselves somewhere else, in a beautiful peaceful place. Like many others, it reminds me of Jane Austen and the places where the characters of her novels would enjoy a walk or sit peacefully. I'd love to see a video in the same style as this one but without the fireplace because it gives me the feeling that it's cold outside when I hear a fireplace x) I'd love to wake up to a beautiful spring/summer morning in the English countryside, hear the birds sing, look at the blue sky and the beautiful flowers and hear the little stream afar... The perspective of a beautiful and quiet sunny day :) Anyway, I'm really glad I came accross your channel!

Using headphones makes him especially near. :)
@ambienceofyesteryear68715 жыл бұрын
I've gotten some feedback that he might be a bit too loud -- what do you think? My desired effect was the relative volume of a cat purring in one's arms (when listening to the overall volume at a comfortably low background level), but perhaps my headphones (or ears!) pick up the sound differently than most others, or perhaps my "comfortably low background" volume is lower than most. Our cat friend purrs at least 10 times throughout the video, with a constant volume each time, but I also wonder if he seems louder in some instances because the balance of other sounds differs. So what say you: is the purring pleasing as it is, or should our kitty friend be slightly more subdued next time? :)
@JillKingslea5 жыл бұрын
@@ambienceofyesteryear6871 , I must admit I've never had the chance to have a cat as a pet, so I don't know how loudly they can purr when perfectly content in one's lap. However perhaps if the purring was slightly softer it might successfully blend into the background, rather than be the forefront of sound - though some might really enjoy this happy kitty! I don't mind him at all, though without having owned a cat, I thought he must be a very large feline. :)

@ambienceofyesteryear68714 жыл бұрын
Please forgive the late reply, and please allow me to clarify that the "drill" you're hearing is actually the purring of a cat! @ambienceofyesteryear68715 жыл бұрын
Yes, I would like to, but first I need to find a good background image -- and then actually make the video, of course -- which will take some time. Could you offer any suggestions for particular Sufi shrines that you think would work well?
@tabrizi795 жыл бұрын
@@ambienceofyesteryear6871 Maybe sufi shrines in Turkey, the ones in Konya. I saw some nice ones on shutterstock. They aren't as nice as the quality ones you find though. There are better images when it comes to Christian monasteries, perhaps that would be an easier task? Btw, I don't always comment on ASMRs, but yours are truly the best in all of youtube.
@ambienceofyesteryear68715 жыл бұрын
tabrizi79 - You're right that a Christian monastery would be easier, but it is my hope/intention to broaden my scope beyond just Christianized Europe and non-indigenous North America. This has been tricky for lots of reasons (language barriers, my own personal ignorance, differing cultural practices & resource-access for preserving/sharing historical spaces), but it's still important to me to attempt. So far, I've found a few great options in Asia (East Asia & West Asia) that I'm excited to start working with, and I'm making slow progress with indigenous North/Central/South America, but I've been really struggling to find suitable images of traditional/historical African spaces. Anyway, thanks very much for the recommendation -- Rumi happens to be one of my favorite poets. :) With luck, perhaps I can create videos for both a monastery *and* a Sufi shrine! And thanks also for your very kind words; I appreciate and am humbled by them.
@tabrizi795 жыл бұрын
Ambience of Yesteryear there is also the option of Eastern Orthodox in places like Syria or Georgia/Armenia which aren’t Europe. Btw the bird sounds in the background that you add are really good.
@ambienceofyesteryear68715 жыл бұрын
tabrizi79 - Yes, absolutely, I am keeping non-European Orthodox Christians in mind, though so far I've had much better luck within Europe. Over the past few months, I've actually done quite a bit of searching for Ethiopian/Coptic Orthodox holy sites (I've had an interest in those religious traditions for years) and might have found a couple possibilities, but it's a challenge. And thank you for noticing the birds -- I do choose the birdsong with care. :)

And by the way, as for KZbin forcing the ads: Another lady I follow (she has a crafting channel) decided, after a lot of deliberation, to monetise her channel and then send her ad revenue to a charity each month, because, I understand, that way she at least gets a say in where the ads are shown, and can limit them to the beginning of a video. So... something to consider? I'm not sure how much of a background hassle that sort of thing is, of course.
