Man thank you so much for this! This is exactly what I needed to create that ambiance in my church's music ministry. Ive been going bonkers trying to figure out how to eliminate that initial pick strike sound and blend the sounds together better. Great video without a doubt!

Antoine, since you are doing more videos of this, would you be willing to make a video about how to make ambient guitar music with vst's? An example of one that would be helpful is one like the Cory Wong Archetype.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm personally not using VST's to make my ambient guitar music, so I doubt this would be a topic I'd like to cover this year. Maybe down the road, we never know!

Thank you Antoine for this helpful tutorial! What do you think about "auto-swell" pedals like the EHX Attack Decay or the TC Electronic Crescendo?
@kevindaniels86025 ай бұрын
I have an auto swell feature on my spider v mkii and its ok. Its kind of like an unintuitive swell. You'll have a swell that sounds good but if you play too many notes in succession you'll have this loud note that comes in because the strings dont have enough time to settle down. If you palm mute you may lose the ambiance your wanting to keep. At least thats been my experience with digital auto swell. Its also hard to get rid of the initial picking sound.

thank you for this tutorial! it also has a fantastic sound quality to it.. I would like to know how do you maintain the quality by uploading it to youtube? what app do you use for rendering your videos, what file-format do you use, and what exactly are your rendering settings?

Nothing special here. MP4 file, 1080p, edited in Davinci Resolve, which is a free editing video software. I export the audio first in .wav, 16 bits, 48kHZ and then sync it with the video. Pretty standard!
