Don't knock a Korean-made guitar until you know the full story.
Reverend Guitars have been designing instruments for decades now in the midwest, and have seemed to hit on a sweet spot of well designed and meticulously set up guitars that are player-ready and sound great. They sent over this lovely Double Agent OG in the stunning new Periwinkle Burst finish and I've been enjoying putting it through its paces.
While the Double Agent draws some design inspiration from classic models, it's decidedly its own thing - comfortable, sleek and solid. From the tummy cut and sloped lower bout to the roasted maple neck and rosewood fingerboard it's a dream to play. The humbucker / P90 combination provides some great tonal versatility across the 3-way selector, and the Bass Contour control is the clincher - allowing you to shape and carve your pickup tones to near-single coil sound and feel.
