I like to imagine this is where Orange's psychic powers started to manifest. Angry not because Saica sold their tribe members, but gave away food for silver, a deep distrust set in between them. Even when she met him out in the wilderness starving to death, that hunger set that grudge in further and they fought as soon as they were in sight of the shack. Over the next few years, one by one, people would find themselves mysteriously magnetised to this settlement, to the man with fiery locs living in the icy north. One by one, they would find themselves embracing infinity in the cold icy waters nearby. Nobody's quite sure what attracts these disparate individuals to this particular shack in the snow. But Orange isn't complaining. Really, he quite enjoys this state of affairs. So if you meet a man in the North with a strangely textured leather hat, best to be polite and on your way before too long, lest you find yourself exhaling in and under that infinite blue nearby... ≠=========≠ Great series honestly, rich story telling and enjoyable progression of events.

Amphibian, remember to double layer the walls of the cabin when you can. It gives it better insulation, and will keep it warmer. I know this because it makes walk in raider ovens noticeably more effective, but also take longer to vent off. Causing most the loot to be destoryed. Oh, and because of walk in fridges. Oh and if you run human flesh through a nutrient paste dispenser, and then run the meal through a different dispenser. It will no longer count as human meat for the colonist that eats it. A few degrees of separation, ya know?

Heyyy what a coincidence, I was just re-watching an ice-sheet challenge earlier and this comes up! The one I saw had 3 permanent cold snaps so temperatures were hovering around -120f to -150f in the _summer._ Really wild stuff. Polar challenges are always a fun way to go about things. Speaking of AA, you should _definitely_ try out a run in one of the 'Alpha Biomes' maps if you haven't already. I did one earlier in the Feralisk Infested Jungle and it was both amazing and terrifying. The map's just _filled_ with different breeds of feralisks forever, to the point that if you leave your base during the day when they're awake you can expect to see about 8-12 messages about your colonist being hunted. Surviving by waiting until night when they're asleep and scrounging in the leftovers of whatever poor caravan or raid came your way has seriously been such a blast!
