Very cool! Thanks for bringing this game to my attention! I wish I could get fiber internet. The conduit where the local cable runs are down my street was crushed when an oversize vehicle drove down our dead end street. None of the fiber providers here in town are willing to bore a new one since there's only 6 houses that could sign up for services. We're stuck with just Comcrap as an option.

Ooo i've played this. It sadly devolves into monster/artillery spam. Edit: it is absolutely not a slow paced game. You can play it slow paced but the neutral camps will out level you lol. best strategy is rapid expansion as there is no upkeep cost

I’ve enjoyed my time, the maps can feel really small imo and less adventurey then it’s inspiration. Also it really needs a bigger amount of enemies to fight and some additional factions.

AA, have you ever heard/played a game called Pox Nora? The art of this game somewhat reminds me of that one. It's a pretty niche, deckbuilding hex-based combat game that I go through phases of playing. I've never seen anyone check it out before, it would be interesting to see your opinions

I know this is blasphemous, but I keep wishing Songs of Conquest had been more classic fantasy and not tried so hard to do their own thing, because it's beautiful but I can't give a damn about the factions.

Not really a blasphemous one. But just a really lame opinion I guess? It's not uncommon, if anything a lot of people have those sorts of thoughts. But it always stuns me how much people demand unoriginal takes that have been done THOUSANDS of times already. If you don't give a damn about the factions and just want the classic fantasy, there are hundreds of existing games out there to fill that need?

​@@hollow8136 What are you thinking, the slop that Age of Wonders became or something? Thousands of what? This always stuns me. I haven't really seen a fantasy 4X handled lovingly in about 20 years and that's why I was so interested in the early looks at this game.
