Nice concept, I just feel like it needs some form of encyclopedia or tool tip for the different block types. The one in the middle on the first level that has the pulsating sacks is actually sending out the infestations,. Same for the "armor" symbols: there is a scaly block that hardens 3x3 blocks around it. Took me a few runs to figure it out.

The "Steam Refund strategy" can and has been used as an effective joke/trolling by some people though. Recently watched a streamer (Bushy) do it with Elden Ring. He's quite well known for crazy conditional playthroughs of the game already so he one day decided to buy a fresh copy, reach an ending within the refund time, and then left a comment saying something to the effect of "game too short, way easier than I expected, got a refund". I like to imagine somehow that message made it to the devs, that would be quite funny 😂😂

Y'know, for someone who says they want to experiment, you didn't do much experimenting in the vod. You coulda use one of the automatic watchtowers that can be built on the deck on the far sides, so you only have the middle area to shred with the active machine gun. Best watchtower for AOE is the laser, but only in a straight line, machine guns has good spread but no penetration, and rockets for groups of preferably small enemies. If you wanted to focus more on the active abilities, shield ray turrets block enemies until they destroy the shield, so they're sitting ducks for your actives. Early economy focus though, I'm on your side for that. Most if not all problems you experienced aren't even a concern if you had enough money. 2:54:53 Yeah, something like that is basically the ideal build. Less accurate than full slot and full upgrade wall turrets, but prefires like hell, so enemies die when you breathe on them if they somehow reach your core.

Missile Command was my favorite upright arcade game. This feels really similar with a modern spin on how video game mechanics interconnect. It was a treat to watch you play this one.

Cool game! 29:38 why is only 1 of the 3 machine guns working though? You had 3x the firepower that you were able to use, so i think there isnt anything wrong with your strategy.

Looks like if you placed the wall turrets further down they could kill the bugs through blocks maybe getting rid of the need for guards the guards just don't seem powerful enough to kill higher tier underground enemies

3 hours and i haven't seen you do an economical build.... the ore generators STACK!!!! More Gens -> faster you generate Blue and RED !!! 5 each and you mine for fun caus the gens make you enough money.... First thing is build them as fast as much of them as godly allowed THEN build weapons galore... mining is yust worth it for the meta progress materials! losing workers is horrible too because the money you spend on workers could buy you 5 weapons! fastest two upgrades is 1 worker health and 2 vision upgrades. yeah yeah backseat gaming XD RTS games are the same you build up economy ASAP Then military except for when you go all in and either win fast or GGLose. BTW Subbed ^^ nice soothing voice cancels out the rage indducing financial oversights XD

This game looks great except for one personal beef: I am completely bored and turned off by fighting bugs in video games. I understand why smaller devs use bugs as enemies. They're easier to code to make behave believably as bugs. But man am I over this trope. It's why I could never get into Deep Rock Galactic either, though that is exactly the kind of game I would have loved to spend hours upon hours in. Procedural digging. Dwarves. Shooting waves of enemies (not unlike this game). Bugs just don't interest me as enemies. They lack personality. They're boring. Taking out a bug never feels like taking out a thinking entity. At least zombies were once thinking humans (and have a horror element). My heart falls every time a new game pops up that looks cool but has defaulted to the most tropiest of scifi enemy tropes for their enemies: Giant Space Bugs. Please developers, put some creativity into designing your enemies. Giant Space Bugs are as OVERdone as any enemy could be. This game looks really cool otherwise.

Its already fixed. Now you loose 1 iron every time you sell a building/turret.

the gameplay looks unrewarding and slow. For me, the nonfunctual machinegunturrets would only lead to a slowly buildup of anger. Why on earth would you exchange a graphically satisfying barrage of bullets against gun1 gets stronger?!? I can only imagine an attempt to save money. This detail does give off a cheap vibe.
