Hello thanks a lot for your videos regarding this subject and the use of Envelop with Ableton Live But I would like to know how can I do an audio installation in order to use this device in a live show ? If I buy 3 pairs of audio speakers and a sound card in order to connect them to my computer with Ableton Live, does it work and I will be able to hear the sound moving around me ? I m quite confused with this point ….or do I have to buy a special audio system ? Thanks for your help and explanations regarding this subject so powerful …..

Hi Michael, great tutorial, although I'm not finished watching them all yet. I have a question you may be able to help me with. I have a 3Dio Omni Binaural Mic, which has 8 inputs (360 recording) and this records 1 file for me. I am able to put this file into say Reaper, which gives me 8 individual mono tracks from the recording, but I cannot work in Reaper, and I would like to use these files in Ableton. Although they are wav files I think they are Ambisonic or something as Ableton doesn't recognize the file, even though its just wav. If you have any ideas that would be great. Thanks in advance, Lee

Thanks for making this tutorial. Since 2010 I've been trying to find a way to essentially get ableton live function the same as Reaper in regards to Ambisonics. This idea is to use Ableton's performance cabilities at the same time taking advantage of Reapers track parenting capabilities. Is there a stable way to push ableton through Reaper?

You need a decoder. You can use the one that is included in the e4l master bus device. Just choose the speaker setup you want to use and select the outputs accordingly. Obviously, you also need an audio interface that can address multiple speakers.

The characteristics of the microphones actually correspond to the atomic orbitals... Pauli didn't even know that his theory will be used in the sound technology. s (0th order) - Li/Be p (1st order) - B to Ne d (2nd order) - Sc to Ni f (3rd order) - Lanthanids and actinids g (4th order) - Superactinids (not discovered yet) h (5th order) - Eka-superactinids (not discovered yet) etc. etc. Elements of the fields which correspond to the 6th+ order will probably never be discovered.

whats the difference with the surround in logic?
@michaelgwagner6 жыл бұрын
Ambisonics is a more general immersive audio format. Surround sound setups ignore vertical information and have a dedicated sweet spot. It is primarily used for movie or home theaters where you look into a specific direction and only need horizontal audio information.

In your opinion, how is this mastering? the effect in headphones is fantastic! what's the pro and cons of it? would it work as any other master in a club? what about the low freqs? Do you know how to make this effect? Thanks

after 5 years, any better tools than this?
@michaelgwagner6 ай бұрын
For Ambisonics in Ableton, no. E4L is still the best. Some of the other tools I used in this video series, like Audified RecAll, are outdated though.
