Your channel is one hell of a gem, I've always wondered if there was a place I could go to for that special kind of drum and bass I always feel has a connection to my very soul, this is definitely it. Thanks so much for providing all these awesome mixes. I wish I was born a bit earlier so I could be part of when it all came to be (born in late 90s). Big ups from Norway.

... the mid 90's. I try explaining the whole EDM/Rave culture and the concept of P.L.U.R. to the shorties and jits. South Florida was electric. The Miami Bass Sound of the 80's transferred to our Florida Breaks... tracks of the Golden Age of Hip-Hop were usually produced at around 90 bpm were then in turn remixed seamlessly into the 180 bpm style of jungle/DnB. The city was vibrating against a pulse of ingingenuity and an experimentation of sound.

Been listening to your mixes for 3 years now...and loving them! I always know I'll find the best mix for that moment within 3 clicks. Back to Basics though bro...80% of the time it's one of those! I'm a pro session bass player and i even use your BtoB mixes to practice and warm up. I'll be back with funding so have a think about what you most want to do next. Brilliant work my friend!!

Yess!! Another "Back to Basics" These are the best mixes to me. Thank you! PS: I would love to hear some track from PFM in another mix. That would be great!

Great that you like the Back To Basics sets! As for PFM (and other artists signed to GLR), nowadays it's very hard to include them in a mix due to copyrights, and the funny thing is that you may find tracks from those artists her on youtube, but posted many years ago. Rules are different now, but we'll see. Peace :D

I was thinking the same thing - the "Back to Basics" are among my favorites. I've felt this way for a long time. something i can always come back to at any point in my life. so flexible, versatile. the track selections aren't always the most agreeable for me, but hey, that wouldn't be the aspect of the style i would critique. i've always thought these mixes were the best of the general "Atmospheric DnB" sub-genre, or really whatever you'd want to call it. i wouldn't try to overly categorize it. brilliant work. keep creating, and i'll be back with more opinions, for whatever that's worth :D
