Things are going to be crazy for me as well. Well be moving out of the house we've been renting and moving into a house that we just bided on. And found out yesterday that it was accepted. So as long as the V.A. Inspection goes smoothly, its ours. So that's going to keep us busy. Then at the end of July we're going to a family reunion. So Spring and Summer is going to be crazy. So now I have to really cut back on spending money. I can't wait for the live show for the descendants of the crane, and of course to start reading the book. Good luck on your tbr.

Omg, I'm almost done with the Astonishing Color of After and it is SUCH a beautiful book. I love all the details in it, and I adore when she travels to Taiwan to learn more about her mothers history and grandparents. Also, I know her dad is concerned for Leigh but some of his arguments about her passion are really frustrating for me.. anyways, I'm super glad I finally picked the book up, cuz I was eyeing it for a while. 💕 it's hard to describe but it makes me feel at home while I was reading it? Lol.. and thanks a ton for this video because I am niw in need for some more good reads. 😊 I also started watching Death Note (I wanted to watch a couple episodes before trying to read the manga) to see if I could get into it, and it's really good, so I see why you enjoy it so much. 😊 this was a fun video to watch and I hope you have a good time in New York! 🖤

One of my absolute faves is The Valley of Amazement by Amy Tan - she's Chinese American and I would really recommend this book to others doing this challenge! It's about the life and family relationships of a courtesan in Shanghai in the early 20th century, very similar layout to Memoirs of a Geisha which I also loved. But obviously the added benefit that TVOA is written by an Asian American woman inspired by her own family background. Thanks for the great recommendations - I'll definitely check some of these out!

I'm going to be reading books that have made made into movie adaptations and I did it last May and I enjoyed it and it's called May Movie Novel Month. I'll be reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling, The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs, To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han, Harry Potter: Pages to Screen, The Art of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (so it talks about the scenes behind the movie) and also a couple of guide books about The Hunger Games. If I get any time, I really want to read The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas 😘😘
