I love how most of these are more unknown books, it’s always refreshing to see some new titles, especially during diverse readathons. Written in the stars has been on my TBR for a while, it’s true everyone absolutely Loves it!!

I'm primarily reading Shadow of the Fox for Asian readathon, because it's my current read and I have somehow managed to find 4 readathons for May. It would be nice to get to more, but I'm not sure I can make it. My backups are The Crown's Game, Aru Shah and Crazy Rich Asians, since I already own them.

I'm relatively new to reading purely for enjoyment (aka only reading for school/university and the occasional NY times bestseller self-help book). You've quickly become my go-to for book recommendations. I have yet to read a book that didn't have me fighting with myself to put down. This is the perfect excuse for me to finish the Crazy Rich Asians trilogy. For no reason I stopped reading the second book, but I really like it. Now it's the perfect time!

The 2nd book was sooo good. However, I would lower my expectations going into book 3. Personally, I was underwhelmed after how much I enjoyed book 2.

Please read Palace of Illusions by Chitra Divakaruni Banerjee. It’s a re-telling of the Mahabharata but from Draupadi’s perspective and it’s absolutely wonderful.

Chain of Gold and Written in the Stars are some of my favorite books! I really hope you enjoy them! Content warning for rape in Written in the Stars though. Thanks for all the recs Jananie! I was going through my shelfs and was like: I DON'T HAVE ANY! And then I found out I do. I have 8 books by asain's author and some of them were already on my tbr for May so this is perfect! I also just bought little fires everywhere on my Nook because my wait time for it through my overdrive was #55 on 2 copies! Like what?! Plus it's a book I've been meaning to read since it came out! I read the first Aru Shah book earlier this year and really liked it! A solid middle grade book. The Blossom and the Firefly sounds really interesting! I love historical fiction and war novels but I don’t think I’ve read any about/set in Japan.

I recommend Pachinko! It's a real great historical fiction about Korean immigrants in Japan during Japanese occupation of Korean by a Korean American author.
