Ambulance Camper | Van Tour & Road Trip

In episode 7, Max McMurdo finishes the conversion and takes the van on it’s first road trip down to the South coast of England for his first taste of van life!
He was also finally able to test out all the features like the full size double bed, quadrant shower, infrared heating, double gas hob, roof decking and the heated airing cupboard. All while taking in the seaside views.
With the campervan now complete Max can fully embrace the off grid lifestyle. On to the next challenge...

Looks AWSOME and I've got an idea for you that might help you clean up the table when you get stuff on it .... you could actually cut a small part of the rubber that you used on the floor and put it on top between the rails and it would probably protect the wood some a raise that center up just a little bit bc most tables that are completely flat are a lot easier to wipe clean...... just an idea though

💕Why put a flashy bending sink tap & great looking shower & heated reflective ceiling then add one of those awful looking sink hob combos💕Sorry but to me that spoils it💕It makes it look like you ran out of money & got the cheapest thing you could buy💕I don’t think you’ve finished it yet but a few trips & you’ll work out what you still need or need to change💕It’s my biggest dream to convert a van into a beautiful camper van although I’m being held back by being a disabled person on Universial Credit💕

I've current got a Vivaro day van but want to upgrade to an old Ambulance, to convert to a mobile office / overnight van as we both work from home. The Vivaro is too small as we've got two dogs (Malamute and a Collie)... me wanting to do it is the easy part, convincing the girlfriend that we should do it.... is the hard part.

Bit late to the party, but you said it started off at ~ 4 Tonnes, what was the final weight, and can you drive it on a std UK license? Thanks

anything over 3 1/2 tonnes needs a C1 licence. For reference, one of these before you strip out the interior and rear tail lift, comes in at 5 tonnes.

it looks like it's been a fun project but you've probably added 500kg or more in aluminium extrusion

Yes but that’s considerably less that the heavy units and seats that were in it before I assure you!
