Knew of an EMT online on a forum that died from being T-boned by a drunkard at an intersection. Was dead-heading in the back on the return to the hospital because the cab was occupied, he was killed but the ambulance drivers survived mostly unharmed. Drunk was in critical. Took the rear axle right off the chassis. When a car hits the bottom of a tall vehicle like that, especially when both vehicles are in motion, it throws the vehicle off balance and it will tip over.

Two of our ambulances was going to the same call, when the ambulance in front of me got hit on the side, by a women going throw a red light and it rolled over on to a lady on the side walk and killed her.
