FSR 3 has its own frame generation implementation in the game itself whereas AFMF is at driver-level. If you have the choice, obviously use FSR 3 frame generation because it is directly implemented into the game engine.

@@adi6293 yessir, once per driver update since 23.3.1 There are countless reddit threads on the issue with no instances of any success within the community to resolve the issue aside from going back prior to 23.3.1 which is nearly a year old. Can confirm even 24.4.1 still hasn't resolved the "error uploading" issue.

you can´t activate afmf during fast motion because the image get broke,Furthermore, since it is at the driver level, AFMF cannot access the game's movement vectors, which is why it is dynamically deactivated when you move the camera quickly in the games in which you activate it.

framegen is intended for 60 -> 120. it doesnt look so good at lower fps and it adds overhead which can make latency/performance worse.

​@@rewwgf Hypr rx is just a graphics profile in AMD adrenalin that activates certain graphical settings for games, like RSR which is the driver level FSR upscaling, AFMF which is the driver level frame generation , Radeon boost that downscales the image during fast movement to improve framerates stability, and Radeon anti-lag that reduces input latency, anti-lag+ having been removed it usedto be also activated by Hypr rx.

​​​@@rewwgf To activate Hypr rx you need to have the AMD adrenalin software installed on your computer and have a compatible amd gpu for it, then in the gaming tab, you'll see all the games the app detects on your system, those are the games the system will by default launch the overlay and activate the settings on the graphics tab, which itself is next to the games tab. There you will see different graphics profiles and the first one if your gpu is supported will be Hypr rx.

Display corruption in the new drivers with Elder Scrolls Oblivion, oddly enough. I’ve been re-playing it and now I’m getting a blue grey screen. The menus render and the character model in the menu but a black background where the environment should be. Anyone else having issues? I had to revert to December’s drivers.

I got 7900XT GPU... Unfortunately, this doesn't work in Black Desert Online. The graphics API runs as DX9 instead of DX11 for some reason. Black Desert Online switched to DX11 back in February 2023....

@@prestige934 Try some dying light 2 on a 7900 XTX its bassicly just an RGB laser show on first blood mission after arena fight cutscene 100% reproduceable, may be happening on other RDNA3 cards as well, including Radeon Boost RGB auras at night. And NVIDIA EWWWWWWW not touching that even with a 10 feet pole, their drivers are from the stone age compared to AMD.

This is the wrong place to try to get an answer about that. But I'm gonna help you out. You should uninstall the driver using DDU or the AMD Cleanup Utility after restarting into Safe Mode. Then restart and reinstall the driver fresh.

the problem with hypr-rx is that it force-enables RSR (Radeon Super Resolution)... that means i gotta go in-game and lower the resolution to bellow monitor native... i'm gaming on a rx7900xtx card on a 4K/hdr/240hz monitor... i have absolutely no use for RSR, unless you convince me otherwise... i did not invest thousands on a high-powered gaming rig and a high-end monitor just so i can game on upscaled RSR... again, please, convince me otherwise... maybe there is something i'm missing or i don't know about

Its only enable RSR when FSR Ingame is not activated. Also you can deactivated RSR seperate as Option.

A Linux version of AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition would be nice, so I can used AFMF and HYPR-RX to enable instant performance for all my games on my Linux device running a 7800XT.

I find it funny how many different experiences there are. I only have an FHD 1080P system at the start with an RX 6600 XT. In the game settings I select FSR3, Frame Generation and 990P resolution. The resolution is just a little lower than 1080P and that's enough for FSR3 to work. ​ It's just a guess, but could it be that some users set the resolution too low in the game settings in the hope that it will get a lot more FPS? I did some testing and for me the best result was that the game graphics were reduced just enough for FSR3 to work. In my case 990P, not 720P or something in between. Otherwise I have everything set very high and in Adrenaline I set quality. With Image Sharpening 80% and Anti Lag, I have super clear and sharp graphics and much higher FPS than ever before. Everything is going smoothly for me. I can not complain.

Hypr-RX is great, almost 200FPS in some titles.

I prefer 90-120 fps. 200FPS will stutter if you are on FreeSync

@@Likiung I tried it in Cyberpunk, it was getting 250 frames it didnt feel nice at all. I turned it off and 100fps feels much smoother. I will test this on a shooting game and see

i got an insane push in Tarkov. From 55fps (medium), just the new driver to 80fps (ingame, fps1). With AFMF i am close to 200fps (adrenalin overlay) with 'high settings'. We are so lucky dude :)

@rekadio My monitor is 144hz. Do you mean frame limiter in the game or RTSS? I tried to limit a game (for example: Cyberpunk to 90FPS capped). I turned on AFMF and FPS was 160 but I couldn't tell a difference

You guys should consider adding game specific frame gen to older games (4-5 years). You know... RDR2, The Witcher 3, The Last of Us Part 1, and others. You might even consider adding it to non-FSR titles like Ark Survival Ascended and Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition. I know it takes effort and cooperation with devs. But it might go a long way in generating good will between you and the customer. I feel like these types of games are being excluded on purpose, for some reason.

AFMF works in any dx11 game... And if you want it for dx9 games just use DXVK

@@tenborck I know that. It's not the same as the frame generation that has to be implemented in games. And it doesn't feel or look the same. That's why I said "game specific frame gen".

​@@hatchetman3662 Nothing AMD can do. The code is open source, so it's all upto the developers. Some of them are too lazy and some are being paid by Nvidia. AMD shouldn't have to pay them anything to implement the code. These developers are making a lot of money via AMD GPU consumers.

​@@RX7800XTBenchmarks Well, that's where you and I differ in opinion. I'd venture to say the game sales support the GPU sales and not the other way around. If AMD wants to sell more GPUs, they should make sure their upscaling/frame gen tech is in every game possible. Especially performance heavy games where the tech would benefit mid-range users most. AMD marketed their current cards on the FSR 3 tech. And, while it is technically released, it could do to see some actual implementation in games that didn't release in the past 12 months, besides Cyberpunk. In my opinion, AMD has a responsibility to promote their tech to developers if they're gonna sell hardware on the dream of using that tech. It would just so happen to benefit their consumers if they did it, therefore generating good will and potentially more sales. Especially in the future. But don't defend them. They aren't your friend. They wanna bleed your wallet, just like any other company.

In what way is that not making sure it's in every game possible?... " AMD must promote their tech to developers", they are. In fact, they are doing the best ever promotion possible. IT'S FREE 🤣. What else can they do, how about making it more free and public. Stop it. People had GPUs before cyberpunk existed, therefore cyberpunk came on the scene hoping that what they had to offer was good enough to entice those GPU holders to part ways with their hard earn cash and support their game, which those AMD GPU holders have done. So, it is in fact cyberpunks responsibility to accommodate those GPU holders by implementing a technology that was given to them freely, and will not only enhance gaming experience, but also promote their graphical diversity and further possibly enhance their revenue. AMD has absolutely no more responsibility to hunt down incompetent developers to implement something that is publicly accessible.

it will never happen, that is only for creative tools not for gaming, they might release a new gpu for that, but you have been fooled
