The whole thing the snake leather coat said about the 5070 being the equal of the 4090 threw everyone off with that pricing until the dust settled showing that snake leather coat dude was very much full of shit. I think that if AMD can place their two cards between the 5070ti and 5080 for performance with pricing that is slightly lower than the two, then they should have a decent win.

About the DLSS 2 FSR wrapper: it would be very interesting if you could investigate on why there are no unofficial wrappers for popular games such as Indiana Jones - I played Alan Wake on a 3070 TI using DLSS + FSR3 and it ran pretty well, but for Indiana Jones and Returnal I could not find anything to add FSR 3 frame generation - maybe it's just me. But anyhow: it would be interesting to see if Nvidia is lobbying game devs to implement very aggressive techniques to detect which DLSS options should be available to the user, rather than just trusting what the DLL reports as available.
@fpgamemearray5 сағат бұрын
i don't think nvidia cares about the wrappers and mods, as long as you don't reverse the dll files. They achieve vendor lock-in by making DLSS omnipresent in games at launch day. The majority of PC players don't want to tinker with file swaps and mods, they much rather spend more to get the nvidia experience without the fuss. nvidia can just bully the competition by "sponsoring" 10 titles to 1 that either amd or intel is sponsoring. Then you get situtations like the latest indiana jones game: runs great on all recent gpus, but still hasn't implemented vendor indipendent upscalers (FSR and XeSS 1) nor has path tracing available for non-nvidia cards (despite a CVAR called r_allowpathtracingnonnvidia in the game) it's just hairworks and tassellation all over again but this time people actually care about the nvidia-specific features

Having experienced DLSS 4 yesterday (anyone with a 2000 series or above can force it on by updating your nvidia app and drivers, then in the per game settings select DLSS override and set it to Latest) I'm *needing* every GPU and console to have access to this yesterday. It solves everything. It just looks so good. It's crisp and clear and I'm finally able to stop seeing DLSS / TSR / TAA as a tradeoff because now it just objectively looks better than anything that I could do without them, and MSAA doesn't solve things that DLSS 4 can like chain link fences viewed from even a modest distance of like 20 feet away. Idc if it's AMD or Intel, stick a bunch of Tensor cores in your APUs, GPUs, and Consoles - I'm not accommodating folks without access to DLSS 4 when they complain about ghosting or smear or boiling and so on - at this point that's a *choice* that *you* make with your next GPU purchase. You don't get to blame me for what your GPU can't do when there was an option. You weighed rhe decisions and made one. Don't choose not to have DLSS 4 and then complain that your DLSS 2 equivalent antialiasing solution is dog water. I'm happy to celebrate that you're supporting a diverse market where any trust fund clown with no aspirations or expected success potential can be a gpu designer - we can pretend that their existence affects pricing in any way with Cousin Jenson, but at this point I'd argue that buying Intel is the only competition that matters, and by kicking out Pat I'm a bit worried that their ability to form and act on long term plans are TikTok brainrot levels. AMD has a last chance to prove they are serious about their cards. Failing _now_ will end AMD GPUs. Looks like 549 USD for the 5070 will be another fake fantasy price. MSRPs are useless.

starting to look like they made the right call. don't get in the way of nvidia making itself look bad with this terrible 5000 series launch.

If the 9070 cards were with the retailers already, we would see benchmarks and such leaking... and there is none of that...

Rdna 3 was not good. AMD has been trash for a long time. Intel is already superior and its only been making gpus for 2 generations now.

Intel GPUs are much bigger and Intel is selling them for fire sale prices to gain a foothold in the market.

😂 intel is superior lmao bruh. Months ago you could ACTUALLY get 6700xts for $250 and theyd smash the b580 which you can generally find for $340 now I mean im cheering them on, but theyre not better.
@Quxer07218 сағат бұрын
@@OG-JakeyThis is a little complicated, but Intel isn't superior yet. As other pointed out, Arc is on good path, but under perform in comparison to their die size. It is like 70 class card with performance of 60 class. Their margins aren't great (probably still with profit). As for RDNA3 they weren't bad, they did screw up with naming and pricing for sure. But they still have good price to performance ratio.

I just want something like 48GB of VRAM i don't care if it's RDNA2 i just want to play games on medium settings and run ai stuff.

Yeah I know right? Imagine actually being interested in improved Nvidia features instead of hyping up AMD's disaster of a launch. You should think long and hard about why AMD's marketshare is 10% and shows no signs of improving before lashing out at DF for not babying AMD.

Can you believe a youtube channel about gaming and technology prefer the brand that is miles ahead of the other company. It's amazing how they like the company that has better image quality with their upscaling and does ray tracing alot better. They also prefer the company that's always innovating. Shocking hey?

How does AMD catch up? Maybe AMD being better with Deepseek shows the way. Caught up to Open Ai/Chat GPT in machine learning and shocked the world. There’s also the machine learning AMD is working on with SONY for UDNA/PS6. What else can NVIDIA do going forward is also a question. RADEON is dealing with the SRAM issue with chiplet designs, similar to how they took down INTEL dominance in CPUs with Ryzen. What is NVIDIA going to do? Stagnate, overcharge, act like a monopoly; all like Intel did when they controlled the cpu market. Maybe history repeats.
