480hz isn't anything new but giving it to a bunch of dad gamers stuck on 120hz productivity TV screens is a brilliant marketing move. Sadly it isn't true 2.1 display port so it will forever be bottle necked by 7 year old monitor cables.

I like that GT7 is so good on my PS5 Pro on TV, but am surprised it is not so good with PSVR2 even on the Pro since the patch came out a few days ago. I have a RTX4090/ 9800X3D PC which runs Forza like a dream, but I still like GT7 on the PS5 Pro more in terms of realism. Not to mention Forza doesn’t have VR at all.

The recent Halo 2 20th Anniversary LAN in Vegas put on by LVL50 and Chris Puckett was awesome and I recommend checking it out to anyone who used to follow the pro scene. The prize pot was crowd funded by donations and hit $100K while some of the teams were loaded with old pros like team Final Instinct which had Roy, Walshy, Strongside & Lunchbox. Everything was played on OG Xbox's and CRT TV's and all 3 day's were live streamed with live commentary with Puckett, Dudynsky, Alex Mendez, Dan Gaskin and a few others.

going out at the afternoon to buy a game u really wanted and going back home to play it through the whole freaking night despite knowing u have to go to school next day was the fking best plus back then when u were a kid staying a day or two without any sleep was manageable lol.

The absolute most solid 40 fps on 120 hz with the graphical bells and whistles. This was the reason I got a PS5 and a LG C1 (Ratchet and Clank), as I thought it would become the norm (Seems to just be Sony "first party" titles). I just don't see an excuse now, especially with the Pro existing.

RE: Thumbnail; ABSOLUTELY NOT. They should target 60hz 60FPS maximum quality, with base ps5 requiring 30FPS to match the graphics, lowered settings to do 60fps, and Pro should need LOWERED SETTINGS to do do 120hz - period. This is the only way that all consoles & displays get a balanced value.

480Hz sounds so unnecessary. I remember that test Linus did with CSGO. I feel like pros notice a small yet still noticeable difference between 120/144 and 240. But 480?! Why?

The amount required to buy a ps5 pro with a disc drive in my country is equivalent to the amount needed to buy 37 brand new games (physical) and I'm not even joking.

Kids now have no idea how big a deal this demo was. The hype for Halo 2 became enormous! I remember flipping out when I saw Master Chief steal a ghost, kicking the elite out of it! 😂 And being able to dual wield was badass too!
