In late March of 2022 R5 5600X USA is $228 on Amazon and the R7 5800X is $348 on Newegg. This makes the 5600X a great value for gamers and the 5800X a good value for production work. For doing a little of both and you have the video card I think the 5600X is the way to go. This has got me wanting to replace my $85 1600F with a 5600X

It also depends on availability, total system price and total cash available. If you're building a $1500 system, extra $150 is +10%. 5800x might be worth it because of +30% productivity speed for +10% money is a good deal! Future proofing is also a thing, especially when new Xbox and PS5 have 8 cores!

My phone has 8 cores as well. It doesn't mean very much
@zlac2 жыл бұрын
@@lunaticfpv17 Well actually it does matter A LOT because most of the PC games are ports from Xbox and PS5. It's also better to have as many (or more) and stronger cores because many times they don't really optimise for PC all that well. Xbox and PS5 also use AMD ZEN2 cores, they are are very comparable to standard PC processor cores. Phones use RISC ARM cores and yes, they are are not comparable.

In some localities the 5600X can be found for MSRP or in my case I snagged it for $280 USD and had another $20 taken off when paired with a motherboard and this was back in early March. The 5800X in some areas can be found for $430 USD and the same $20 off with a motherboard deal still applies in those areas.

@NightMotorcyclist3 жыл бұрын
Yup, and I'm also aware of the 5800x price drop which I kinda wish I held out longer. My local Micro Center also has stock of the 5900x and 5950x at MSRP. I said some localities because apparently quite a few places in Europe have similar stock and prices or the 3rd gen ryzen parts. Plus it avoids having to deal with morons who cry that not everyone has a Micro Center so I just leave the name out of it.

I'm looking at both the aorus and the aero and i cant really see a difference; aside from aesthetics. I was wondering if there is a difference between the 2 models. I was also wondering if there was any benifit to buying the 17in compared to the 15 as a uni student. atm im leaning towards the aero cause it looks better imo.
