I just bought an Acer Predator Helios 18 with an RTX 4090 for around $3540. Now, judging from that price, I reckon an RTX 5090 laptop would be a lot more expensive, and value for money would decline significantly.

To me it seems like 95% of their work has been on top tier desktop 5090 that apparently can now eat as much power as a small hairdryer. The lower we go on the tierlist, the less performance increase we see... So as always all the innovation is targeted towards the rich, regular people will again have to wait a year or more for a "new product premium" to be paid off. Why cant they increase mid and low tier performance more? Oh yeah cause that wont be as profitable.

Wow im glad I didnt hold my breath on these... I paid $999 dollars for a ASUS TUF laptop with the 4070 and the i7 processor, 1TB of SSD.. upgraded to 32GB of RAM for another $115 bucks and this laptop plays Cyberpunk with everything maxed out, full path tracing at 100+ FPS on 1080P

Mobile devices depend on efficiency. It's hard to be more efficient on the same node as the previous graphic card gen.

Lot of these are recycled from other if your videos… like come on, there’s some really niche and not known useful tips that you could give to the more casual users and yet you decide to cover generic tips that come with a little bit of common sense😅 use of PTM, quality putty for VRAMs, heatsink for RAM, RAM OC and tight timings, RTSS framerate cap gor better 1% lows, etc.

I hope they keep the cooling on laptops... i hope that 2025 this year will have liquid cooling laptops with rtx 4080, and a i9 14900hx with 32GB ram, and 2TB SSD I hope it get to a cost of 2,000 to 2,400 price range since unreal engine 5 will be most struggles for laptops... and not a lot of poor people couldn't afford... laptops are not good to game.... in some cases.... since the heat and battery will expload maybe... I talk to a computer expert and they told me to never run high end stuff while the battery is close to the heat. I don't think laptops are ever improving I think 2025 era is awful.... and prices are keep going up. you pay for expansive to play a game.... if pc or laptops were cheaper... I think consoles would 100% die if laptops had a lower cost rate... I hope that pc gamers know this.... and I hope company who make laptops or desktop know this....

Makes sense since the efficiency gains are non existent and with the power and thermal limits... the only way to improve matters is to give the gpus more memory at least... not more fake frames. I'm quite satisfied with my laptop and its 4080 only thing that would have been nice is 4 more gigs of vram but I can make do with tweaking settings where needed. Even in the 50xx series was amazing I'd still be holding to this rogstrix 18 till at least the 60xx or 70xx gen.

The basic problem with higher-end GPUs need good heat dissipation where most laptops are barely meeting such requirements on cooling as they draw more power - hence 95-150W on RTX5090 is being limited. Even if they do, you need to work on a quarterly clean-up of the cooling fans where dust build-up very quickly. Should u ignore, the heat will eventually damage other parts of your laptop components, or motherboard circuits and BSOD comes very quickly on your expensive laptop.

I have a g18 2023 and seeing that the new version is only 3% faster, I don't know why the hell they expect us to upgrade unless they intentionally slow down our systems on purpose lol
