AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D + RTX 4070 👽 Gaming PC on AM4 in 2024! What can it do? + Test 1080p 1444p 2160p

Hey, folks! Finally diving into AMD processor gaming builds on the #pcbuild #vladpcbuild channel. Today, we're testing out the setup you voted for and asked me about. We've got the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D paired up with the ASUS GeForce RTX 4070 TUF Gaming OC 12GB GDDR6X on the AM4 platform. For the next month, we'll be putting together gaming PCs with the new Ryzen processors. So, for today's build, I'm trying out a new motherboard, the ASUS Prime X570-PRO. As for RAM, we've got the most stable and reliable kit from Kingston Fury Renegade RGB DDR4 2x16GB KF436C16RB1AK2/32. For primary storage,
I've gone with a speedy Kingston KC3000 SKC3000D/2048G 2.05TB M.2 SSD. Cooling down the hot Ryzen, we've got the new Jonsbo TW7-240 ARGB Black liquid cooling system. Powering up the gaming rig is the ASUS ROG Strix ROG-STRIX-650G branded power supply, and we're housing the whole system in a cool case with excellent airflow, the Qube Galaxy RGB Black Galaxy_FCNU3. This build is shaping up to be quite interesting, and I'm looking forward to testing out this setup. I recommend watching the video till the end for some exciting insights. Enjoy!

Sick build, personally I would of gone for the 5800x3d with the new rx7900gre card from amd, 16gb of vram is really needed these days with some titles at 1440p and beyond. If you ever build that id be keen to see the vid 👍

There is no game that will use more than 10GB vram. Also you can play at high settings instead of ultra settings. its not a big difference

@@Ladioz That is an incredibly false statement my friend. Example game would be Rust, try running that at 4k res and see how much usage is measured 🤣💀At 1440p 15.4gb of vram from my 4080 gets reserved (obv would be using all of it 24/7) so you can imagine that but with 8 million pixels and not 3. Bear in mind this is not ultra settings, like one setting is high, with anti a, shadows, water quality etc turned off.

@@Ladioz even tho not every game will utilize all the vram,12gb is the minimum today for 1440p, 16gb is preferred to keep the card for a couple of years

@@faus2417 Idunno what to tell you man. When I see older cards from 3 years ago like 3060 ti or RX 6600 playing 1440p with mixed settings im like .. wow.... do people like playing at low fps or ugly picture? i dont know. I hope i can keep using my12GB RX 7700XT for a while..

Yeah, and if wishes were horses we'd all be eating steaks. This is way too expensive of a setup for gaming purposes. I'll just buy PS5 eventually.

You gotta set goals and go for them, then everything will work out. But buying a PS5 means throwing in the towel and stopping short of your goal. 😄

@@vladpcbuild8680 Not in my country it isn't. 😬 A PS5 and a 4K TV costs around 1400 dollars, with 400 dollars average pay. It's a luxury to own anything better than PS4, and even that is pushing it.

I have the same motherboard, since you put a screw in the m.2 and then applied the adhesive heatsink over top. How are you gunna remove that SSD of you have to?

Everything comes off pretty easily, but sometimes the thermal pad sticks a bit to the radiator. If you're removing it, you might need to apply a bit more force.
