Amebix are so important to the evolution of Punk, Heavy Metal & Goth music. Rob & Stig Miller truly revolutionized the sound. In my humble opinion Amebix ushered Punk a much more musically & lyrically profound voice! Amebix were in the trenches of the Anarcho Punk, Squatter world since the late 70's. They were there with Crass, U.K. Decay, Poison Girls, Disorder, Discharge, Flux of Pink Indians, Killing Joke, The Exploited & G.B.H. Amebix were true to their D.I.Y., anti politics, animal rights, natural esoteric mysticism. Rob & Stig & the other very important & talented members contributed many great songs! Amebix influenced so many bands of different genre's of music! Their legacy is cemented for posterity...Arise!!!

I Wish the “raw crust dbeat etc” bands today possessed half this much energy, the worst thing about seeing Amebix in 2020 would be their stinky worshippers and the new “hip” opening acts playing before them, no one in the “street” scene has passed them in intensity in 30 plus years even though I hear countless bands embark on this fools errand
