Hi Ameen, have you ever modeled a drilling process in LS-DYNA or something similar ? I would be very interested about it

Hi there, I did it some time ago. You can check my video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f2SkammlopiUaJI

Hi Ameen, I have some questions related to export 3D solid mesh from hypermesh to Prepost. I am not sure why when I export the solid mesh to prepost, the solid element in prepost is 10-nodes elements and I am not sure why? have you had any experience related to this. thanks

Hi Lam, I am not sure about this problem. But in general, Element formulation type can be changed in SECTION SOLID ELFORM

Hi 👋🏼 I want to import a model in stl format which i have designed that in SolidWorks ، is it need to meshing? Thanks for your help 🙏🏼

I recommend you to import .igs file instead of .stl format. I found that .igs files give less problems compared to .stl. Yes, after you import, you still need to do this meshing to create the elements.

@@AmeenTopa yes thank u 👋🏼 i imported my model in igs format and meshed that. I define a section ( shell with ten mm thick) but when i link my parts with this section and active (model-->apear-->thick) , my model goes out of shape. Actually because the meshes increase in volume from the outside surface and this causes a intersect between different parts. So how can I solve this problem? I guess if i increase the meshes in volume from the inside it would be ok. How can I do that?

@@bluemiii6274 The best way is to model the geometry (igs format) using surfaces not using solid. I believe you used solid geometry (which has thickness) but when you mesh you use shell elements (which are 2D elements). Another option is to mesh using solid elements. But this will increase the size of your model unnecessarily thus I don't recommend it.
