True, but due to the history of family and personal issues he's also a little self-absorbed... Only thing Sway missed bringing up is the whole situation about Ameer setting up one of Dom McLennon’s friends to be robbed (which is covered in one of Dom’s deleted tweets and in his verse on “DEARLY DEPARTED”). I respect this dude. It's hard to admit your wrongdoings when you've a spotlight directed towards you, specially nowadays considering how the internet allows people to completely lynch others for their mistakes. I believe he still has a lot to learn. And I do understand the damage that he did to those victims. However I don't think its productive for anybody to not allow him to move on. At the end of the day, Whether we admit it or not, we all did our fair share of stuff that we are not proud of in our lives. I'm in no place to tell the victims how they should deal with this, but from my experience i can tell that honesty, empathy and forgiveness are the only way to heal.

Remember Dom's verse on "Dearly Departed?" If the stuff Dom says in that verse is true, then Ameer is lying in this interview. Ameer keeps saying he's not trying to mend his relationships with other BH members because "those guys knew me the whole time," but Dom claims that Ameer had something to do with his friend getting robbed early in the band's existence, and that Ameer didn't tell him about this until the abuse allegations came out, which was after the entire Saturation trilogy blew up. One of them has to be lying about whether or not Ameer was honest with his band-mates.
@DatNarutoFan4 жыл бұрын
They were trying to make it look like that to Ameer, but his removal was inevitable. No one just says "you need to take a break" obviously the group was gonna develop w/o him in that break period so he obviously wasn't buying that bullshit. The reason why he left first is because no one wanted to talk about it. The peak quality of the fan base was during and shortly after the saturation trilogy. It felt so good being a part of the hype behind this group that was making amazing music, with members that bring different things to the group, not knowing 100 percent everyone that actually made a part of it, sort of had a mystery to it. The music was what brought everyone together to wanna follow this group. Then after all the ameer stuff happened, all these teenagers just started bandwagoning on the group and the fanbase just became almost the hip hop equivalent of kpop fans. Their behavior and how they "stan" is cringe at times. Whether they just wanted to support brockhampton after the accusations and removal of ameer, Kevin being openly gay, or liking the new music, it just didn't feel the same tbh. .It was gonna happen eventually but the SAT trilogy was peak fan base days.

this man is so real its hard not to respect him. so humble, honest, self-aware, loving, patient, and classy. I believe it matters where someone is focusing and striving toward more than where they have been in the past. some people start 15 miles behind in a 10 mile race.

He handled it well. I understand why BH told him to go to Texas and get help, but I also understand how that felt. Maybe he overreacted a bit, in walking out?

Why would you stay in a group thats acting like they dont fw you anymore and aren't explaining shit to you? That's a dumb move.
@MisterObjectiveYT4 жыл бұрын
DatNarutoFan when you’re all over the place mentally most people won’t wanna fw you, in hindsight his behaviour could have been the reason why they didn’t want to help and why they didn’t explain shit. I actually think both sides acted kinda dumb/rash.

they’re all young. and honestly i’m a new fan so i’m just getting into BH/ameer’s music so i don’t even know the full story. but from what i can gather, honestly this whole ordeal really just proved that they’re still young and i guess being given spotlight and fame so suddenly is pressurising. it’s sad, ya know. so i guess at the end of the day, what i’m tryna say is that people don’t make the best decisions when faced with pressure.

I think him leaving BH helped him heal as he wouldn’t have found himself if he had kept going down the road he was going down. His story is very inspiring and will really help others and I think he and BH will do fine as it was a hard decisions for both of them to come to.

I don't know much about Shia LeBeouf's personal life. But he isn't a therapist. "Friday Therapy" may be an open group-talk session, but it's not therapy. I've always been a little irked with how obsessed with fame Kevin is, and how his "therapy" session has to be headed by an actor, and all the attendees have to be involved with Hollywood industry in one way or another.

i really admire ameer’s honesty and his ability of being so open about talking about bh. some people run away from their mistakes and problems but ameer had the courage to address and acknowledge what he did and i really admire the fact that he still respects bh even after the pain that they caused. it wasnt easy for any of them. lets all remember that. ameer is cancelled by many bh stans now but we need to acknowledge what was happening on ameer’s side. he knew what he did wrong, he apologized. ameer is a person with a kind heart and i applaud him for being that.

This is crazy to hear because I was front row at Boston Calling for their set and just seeing how emotional the group all got on stage to the point that they broke down in tears and had to cancel the rest of the tour says a lot. A lot went on behind the scenes that fans don’t know about (including me), and we may not ever get the full story but I personally feel that sometimes the effects of cancel culture can also be just as toxic as the behaviors it doesn’t condone. I’m glad Ameer is working on himself and I appreciate knowing a little more of what happened that day from his perspective as a lot of fans have felt confused and let down since that day and of course when the whole situation unfolded and caused a huge divide. Thank you Sway for being a great interviewer and approaching these topics with grace and respecting the rest of the boys while giving Ameer a platform to give his side of the story. I hope everyone’s healing and moving forward in a positive direction.

I agree with him. If my friends of 10 years told me to handle my mental issues alone instead of supporting me because their paycheck was in jeopardy, I wouldn't want to come back to them and ask for forgiveness either. As a friend of someone for that long, the least you can do is support the person and help them into rehab or something like that instead of having a manager deliver the bad news that you're not performing or in the group anymore. Fuck em as far as I'm concerned. He's better off moving on to better things with new friends if that's how little they cared about his mental health.

BUMBO THE CLOWN yeah, also if you peep Instagram you see that merlyn, kevin, bearface, and Matt all have been on and off following ameer on Instagram. I know parts of them still lowkey want him back into the group, or at least to have a relationship with him. Idk about dom tho
@skrtreynolds4 жыл бұрын
Rockwood .escapeplan Dom is primarily the one who will seemingly never forgive Ameer and from what’s been said that’s pretty understandable. That being said, Kevin, Matt, Merlyn and a few others were longtime friends of Ameer’s and it probably hurts them to lose connection with such a beloved figure in their lives so suddenly. I’m not speaking for them in any way but I can imagine it hurts them in some way to see him so disconnected from their circle of friends and I’d assume they’d at least attempt some sort of form of connection that they formerly had. Ameer looks like he’s grown from his experiences and seems genuinely remorseful over his past actions and seems like he’s wants to change from what he was in the past, and there’s a chance that some BH boys have noticed this and want to have at least a shade of compassion for a former great friend of theirs.

you can definitely see he’s matured and grown as a person to improve and fix his mistakes. i’m glad he owns up to it and just wants things to be better again, rather than letting his past decisions define who he is, and make him a bad person. you can see how much he’s grown from this and i’m glad he’s back in touch with the boys.
