Met him at Barney's Beanery in 82. Had the pleasure of meeting most top guitarists over the years. Not only a Great guitarist, and GENUINE guy! Was a pleasure Nils...

Great story...I'll never forget seeing Nils and Grin playing in Northern Virginia back in 72. A great pleasure.

Love this guy. Could listen to him speak and perform all day. One of the very best artists and so modest, probably to his own cost at times.

The guitarist behind the scorching, riveting solo on "Tunnel of Love", my favorite song of all time, by ANY artist.

Lived with Mum and Dad while they were on a posting in Washington DC from Australia 1969-72 (what a period to be there!) and Nils and Grin were a local DC band. My sister had 1+1 which I still listen to today. They were played on WHFS a great FM radio station at the time.

Nobody has had a career that can rival Nill's. All that time with Neil and than he joins up with Bruce. That's just crazy.

Nils is a great guitarist, who had the best of both worlds. Playing with Neil and then Bruce. Now a member of both.

Absolutely! Nils was great on After the Gold Rush. And great addition to Neil during the Tonight’s the Night era as a Santa Monica Flyer. Billy and Ralph find the groove. Some say they are sloppy, they have feel. Don’t spook the horse! ☮️❤️

Sat with on anvil cases on the stage at Shoreline amp during the bridge school. Chatted for 10 minutes....very down to earth guy, just like in this video. I asked him his top 5 moments of his career and he said a gig in Ireland with the eStreet band...i think it was Dublin. Said it was truely magical. He also mentioned the Amisty international tour with Tracy Chapmen and sting?

I saw Nils play with Neil Young in 1972 in Chicago. I was blown away by his guitar playing on “You’re the Weight.”

Bunch of friends and I went to the 85 Born in the USA show at RFK in DC. My friend was to my right and the stage was to his right. Nils was wearing the huge cowboy hat and my buddy turn to me and he said this: "I hope Nils does his flip," and as he was saying that and looking at me, Nils did his stage flip!! My buddy totally missed it.

saw him in a group called Elf.we went to see wishbone ash & MANFRED MANN’S EARTH BAND.they got booed off of the stage.not deserved but I think the crowd wanted the other 2 bands to play.They were really good especially MANFRED MANN’S EARTH BAND.

Nils guitar playing never fit the E Street Band and he has no on stage chemistry with Bruce. Nils likes going to harmonic overtones and some feedback where Little Steven is pure melody guitar. Everyone missed Little Steven's playing. Bruce does not need Patti or Nils.
@danc3693Ай бұрын
I wonder what Bruce would say about your post. You know, since HE is the artist.

Agree to disagree about Nils but Patti absolutely adds nothing to the band

Personally, I don’t get the whole Bruce Springsteen thing??? Kinda like Taylor Swift.
@eyalsonego565Ай бұрын
Pretty common among classic rock aficionados.he emergegd in between.sometimes under the radar. If desired,well advised to go back to his roots,look closely after his evolvement,work ethics...

You are entitled to you opinion about Bruce but please don’t compare him to Taylor Swift, that’s just wrong.

Never understood the whole Springsteen thing. He also cancelled a long anticipated show by his fans in NC when he decided to not perform over some political nonsense. Screwed those fans. No respect for him.
