> fell in love with Amelia Earhart when my mom gave me a book about her. She was a fixture in my life at a very young age. She was a one of the best story that kept me thinking about what truly gapped. Even though I was fascinated with her, I always wanted her to be found. Now I hope that if she died she was a true mystery as to what happened. Rest in peace sweet Amelia

Amelia embodies a sense of adventure, similar to an astronaut on a rocket ship to another galaxy. She captured our imagination, and to this day, her story is just as captivating. I wish that her airplane is found, and that her final whereabouts are solved. But, a part of me wishes that her legend lives forever.

I like to do surveys with people about topics (co-workers, family members ect) and I've asked about 20 people over the years if they know who Amelia was /or is and only 2 or 3 heard of her.. The point I take out of that is how like Amelia everything gets lost in the fog of time

I've always been fascinated with her. So many theories. I firmly believe she was on a mission from the US govt to learn about possible Japanese involvement in the war. What better way to find out under the guise of making a world record? Just my opinion.
@bonniegordon46412 жыл бұрын
Oh n then that gives US to search for her, again finding out about what was going on, able to fly around, monitoring activities. Again, JMO.

The castaway and crash in the ocean do sound the most likely. I though they had actually found the plane in the island, but I guess not.

There is even a theory that the Japanese captured Amelia

she and noonan were captured, put in cells, tortured, and then cremated...their airplane was lit on fire and burned....very tragic, very truthful, very sad : (

@@srtresttrseert387 yeah also there is a picture that shows both of them and the plane being towed
@KariKing-f3o Жыл бұрын
@@catthecommentbothunter6890No, wrong. That picture was PROVEN false. That pictures was taken in 1935. In other words that picture was taken 2 years before she even left for her flight. Look it up, that story is not true.

Question, there are two 157-337 LOP and there are also two 67 degrees and BOTH are located north of Howland Island. A 67 degree compass (magnetic) is approximately 1.5 degrees (80 miles) north of Howland. Which 157-337 was Amelia referring to and which 67 degrees is 157-337 LOP based on?

This narrator talks too fast. If she would slow down just a bit, it would be so much more effective. She needs to listen to herself then watch a few of the big newscasters and how they pace themselves.

This is a typical of the American obsession of both killing off their heros or dredging for evidence that the hero in question is still alive or didn't die as history claims. IMHO Ms Erhart died in 1937.

That is not true. She made numerous solo record flights, including her flight across the atlantic in 1932 and her flight over the Pacific in 1935.
