This is so beautiful! This is insane genius!! I can’t believe what I just heard!!! I didn’t know such mastery was possible in the 21st century! I heard Palestrina, Bach, Handel, Mozart, and Beethoven - altogether!

I would love to play this on an organ or piano, too!

i am a big fan of fugue in orchestra and/or piano but there's something so magical about counterpoint in a choir. ethereal as always!!! happy to catch this one so early :)

As always absolutely fantastic work, stunning. Just from listening I would know this is a work by Cano as your style is specific and distinctive whilst of course having many influences

Wonderful! Thank you so much! I love fugues! I read Albert Schweitzer's biography of JSB at the moment, and I understand, why he composed fugues, when is was already no more "up-to-date". Fugues, if by JSB or by others, are the perfected perfection of composing. Opposite of this, my own fugues are "Gemansche" (original expression by JSB, it means a partly dependence of one or some voices from another, or , another expression for it, no perfect polyphony and partly homophony. Homophone voices at a polyphone composition are actually boring. And two different kinds of composing are mixed together, what JSB really wanted to say with this German word.

I am reading, naturally. Ach, English! Excuse me, please.

JSB would be so happy if he would know, which perfect fugues you write , Mr. Cano. And others her on YT. He thought, that nobody was after him, who really would understand , how perfect a good fugue is and what a beauty is at a good fugue. When I think about, how few of his students have really understood st this point, then I regret the old great master , he had to be so lonely. And unhappy.

Beautiful!!! If you can get this performed by a real choir (I don't think it's too difficult) please record and post it. ❤Including the coda for extra credit! 🤣 Just curious, what did you use to generate the voices?
