Thanks Charlie, for this important interview with Mr. Ignatius. It does promote a deep general understanding of an issue for the average person, who can't always get this information elsewhere. Stay well Mr. Rose, there are many of us out here who NEED your timely interviews. Wish you could come back to PBS. (They NEED you too!)

Charlie Rose, get out of the shadows and start doing what you do best and report on the news of the nation and the world, you're needed NOW. Why do we owe anything to the Palestinians? We have poured billions of dollars into that area and tried to create peace. Palestinians refused. I personally donated to the Palestinian economic prosperity projects to only learn that all the funds went into the Hamas military infrastructure. War is awful and innocent Palestinians have died. However, the Palestinians need to decide whether they want to erase Israel or live in peace. Until they integrate the latter policy into their souls (and that is not a fast project) no support. We should not be spending money on death cults. Charlie, great to see you again. Please keep your interviews coming.
@TerriKnight-x3sАй бұрын
I’m not sure this statement is factual. Israel has been at war with Palestinian for 50+years. In the 70’s the Palestinians were given land for themselves and Israel then started building on that land. Squeezing Palestinians out of their own land. War has been ongoing in some way ever since. I blame some of this on Netanyahu

Gaza was not an "excess" when there are 500 miles of tunnels and urban warfare. The ratios are below ours in Iraq and Afghanistan. According to UN OCHA, as of September 2024, there were 160,000 pregnant women in Gaza. How does that happen during an "extermination"?

For the United States, the Ukraine war goal was to deteriorate Russia militarily and economically over time, not to necessarily be victorious. However, this can proceed for a finite amount of time.

Big oversight on your part, David: the entire American foreign policy is determined by an extreme hate and resentment towards Russia for having destroyed Germany during WWll. Patton was just an indicator, as was Churchill, that even before US troops arrived in Berlin, a few days after the 28 April 1945 arrival of the Soviets, plans to invade the USSR were on the table. Ike compromised by pacting an alliance with Nazi's to control those countries that had fallen under Soviet control. In spite of 1991, the segment of pro german Americans continues their hate and fear towards Russians. They still dream of a fascist world.
