It was British India until 1947. And majority Muslims lived along the border with Afghanistan including the KP cities even before 1947. British India subjects included the forefathers of the present people of Pakistan and people of India and they both were British Indians then. In 1947 Pakistan as well as India got independence from British. Pakistan could also have retained the name India. As such It is wrong to say the current India is their actual neighbor. It is propaganda that has taken deep roots among our Afghan Muslim brothers.
