You inspired me to make a video of my own Concept One a couple months ago, and turns out you basically own the same exact vacuum. Wild.

I absolutely love these old concept ones. I have always wanted one but could never find one.

I own the non-self propelled U4219 version of the Concept One, and I also have a Power Drive (basically a Dimension with a Powermax twist). Both are excellent machines but it's really depressing that most of the parts for both of those machines are hard to come by nowadays, I was lucky enough to find a used replacement self propelled drive for the Power Drive on eBay.

I’ve found maybe 5-6 of these over the years at the curb. Every single one has been totaled either by the brushroll or the body just completely beat to hell. I just found one a few weeks ago. This exact model. Tweaker cut the cord off but still gave it a chance. Patched in a cord for testing and no suction. Looked at the fan and it was completely destroyed. Can’t get them anymore either. Figures.

I love these hoovers. These are my favorite other then Convertibles/decades and Elites.
@LlyleHunter6 жыл бұрын
These were much better built than the Elites.

I got one of these at a thrift shop for $16. After a good cleaning, a new belt, a new bag and new light bulbs, it runs like new. Whoever had it last obviously didn't take proper care of it. The vacuum is a U3105 with a cord rewind and self propelled feature.

Mine was made in 1990 and had a 7.2 amp motor. I wish that I still had it. In your opinion was this machine any more robustly built than the Self Propelled Hoover PowerMax that followed the Concept 2?
@coltonpreslar30263 жыл бұрын
Reminds me of a lot like the Hoover Dial O Matic models

The new Tandem air uprights have that same fan design as the old concepts.

Mine is a red one from 76... unless I read the sticker thing wrong. Mine also is the highest end one having everything of the upgraded models.

I do love these old girls but like you said finding those brushes aren't fun. Does the motor sound like its dry or something?

After watching this video twice I went and got one of these. Now how can I get it to you for a complete check up.

Hi! How do you change the lightbulb? I have my dads old one, and I don’t have the directions obviously since it’s 30+ years old. 😅

Thanks for the video reviews. Very informative. Are you planning on reviewing (or did I miss) a Miele Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog Bagless Canister Vacuum?

Question: I asked you about my Miele Capricorn hose awhile back. You recommended that I purchase a new one at a local store. Because I agreed with you on supporting local dealers I purchased a hose today in Highlands Ranch Colorado. I paid more than they are listed for online but figured supporting local was a good idea. They owner of the store told me the hose was not returnable which made me a little uncomfortable but I bought it anyway. The hose appears to be authentic. It has the same part number the original hose has, SES 130 and “old style” hand written on the factory looking box. The hose doesn’t work. The problem with the old hose was that it would only intermittently power the power head. The new hose doesn’t even connect to the base unit to turn it on. You have any suggestions?
@PerformanceReviews6 жыл бұрын
The owner of that stores name is Wes Champion he's a pretty good guy. I would recommend you call and ask him just to refund the difference of what you saw online you can always hold a business accountable by posting online reviews. The new hose should have come with a new circuit board as well for that. List price is $199. On dealer net . Ses 131 newist Part #09106511 there have been many revisions of that house
@jayburris62526 жыл бұрын
I'm not as worried about the price,$250, as I am not happy that the hose won't power the vacuum at all. There isn't a circuit board in the box and the owner didn't mention anything about it. I just want a working machine. What is a fair price to install a new circuit board?
