I'm glad I saw this demo. I headed up buying a sanitaire hush version with hepa bags. I do have an older Eureka that is very similar to this machine. That one gets used daily.

I have one and I actually like it. I got it to replace an old shark navigator that I absolutely hated. However I wish I would have spent the money gotten a Sebo or Miele canister as I have 50/50 hard floor and carpet. However for the price it’s a nice vacuum with pretty good suction power.

These are probably the best Hoover machines today. They have an actual Domel motor rather than a China motor, and they are decently built. I prefer a Sebo X7 though.

I had one of these. I really liked it initially. One huge problem though, I vacuumed my living room and bedroom. I opened the bag compartment and it was full of dirt, dust and other crud I vacuumed up that got outside the bag all over the inside of the vacuum. Ended up returning it, fortunately the place I bought it from was very polite and happily took it back for me. When I opened it and initially took it out of the box and before I started using it, I made sure the bag was inserted correctly. If I wanted to clean crud out of the inside of the vacuum, I'd buy a plasticrap Chinesium bagless machine. But my main concern is, all that stuff getting outside of the bag, it's going to leech into the motor slowly and cause the motor to eventually prematurely fail. Did I potentially get a bad unit, or is that par for the course when using paper bags and my expectations were too high? Or am I just spoiled by the fact that Sebo's and Miele's when you open them, there's literally not a single speck of debris/dust/gunk that gets outside of the bag. Man, I really wish they had cloth Hepa bags for this machine... And if it had a brush roll shutoff it'd be unbeatable for its price range.

I like it . I’m shocked . If it swiveled and most importantly the brush shut off I’d buy one . I have a few rugs but all tile floors throughout.

Seems like a decent machine. For that price though I would just spend a bit more and get a Sebo Dart. In general, though, I don't even use modern machines in my home, I still use a Fantom LOL.

Chris from vacuum wars reviewed this one a couple of years ago..i almost bought it due to the price point and performance. I ended up buying a Sebo Felix instead and never regretted the decision.

Will outlast this for sure. But IMO, for the price, it isn't horrible, especially if you really can't save up for the Sebo and need a vacuum.

Hey bro, I bought one of these for my car detailing business, I haven't started yet but I want to use this to clean car floor mats. What do you think about getting an extension hose for this and buy a pet turbo tool on side for the rest of the interior?I know someone that claims it's the best vaccum they ever used and has a cleaning business@@PerformanceReviews

I own a two 2.5 year old Hoover bagged complete performance with maybe 100 hrs on it about a month ago it started getting very noisy like the motors starting to go. i live alone 0 animals , this vacuum has been well taken care of and i liked it a lot more the my older Bissell none bagged . The Bissell did cost me &100 more new but it at least lasted me 7 years before the plastic part of the machine that held one of the wheels on just cracked and broke off causing the whole wheel assembly to fall off making it unusable

My hushtone 13inch suddenly started making me feel dusty after vacuuming. The whole point of my purchase with a hepa filter was not to have this happen.

Just found a hoover wide path preferred for 7 bucks kind of similar Wow didnt know these had a belt safety shut off .. Where the carbon fiber charcoal bags? The old Maytag style behind tunnel supreme has maximum agitation and suck air power. But on the loud side . I have one still works great. One of the best parts is the air path is the center vs off to the side like this one.

I have the predasessor to this machine which is pretty nice, and ithas a quick release brushroll like Sebo. Though I am going to save up and buy a D4. Edit: soft start on a machine at this price point is pretty cool. Also, aren't the Hushtones one of the only vacuums made in the US?

For the price there’s nothing better on the market. For twice the price there are a few great machines like my G4 which I hope to have forever.

Did i hear that correctly? A $350 vacuum died after a month? Yet this will apparently last longer than my Bissell Sanitare that's been running for 4 and a half years and cost less than half the price? TTi is a damn joke at this point.

Particularly I'm referring to the direct Air Sanitares which had motor problems. The little blue bypass machine you like definitely should go toe to toe with this. But this does have a longer life motor. The one that died had a brush roller melt up due to some heavy twine being stuck in the bearing. You bring up a good point that you're really just trading seats on the Titanic in this price point.

@PerformanceReviews 100% agree about the F&G, or frankly any direct air machines. I know we've both been consistent on that front. They're completely inappropriate for any setting. I know the biggest upgrade from this machine over the SL4110A is definitely the long life belt and belt system. I personally don't think that's worth paying double, but if someone was willing to pay for it, it's a good option. Though wouldn't it make more sense at that point to step up to a Sanitare EON over this? There's less than a hundred dollars difference between the two, and it seems like this Hoover is more bulky and seems to be more problematic. I don't think I'd consider this "budget" by any stretch. A comparison between the two would be an interesting video idea!

Bissell continues to lower the price of their Santaire products. I definitely agree that would probably be a better value at this point. These seem rather cheap and cheerful, rather than cheap and rubbish. I wish Vax over here in the UK would sell at least some Hoover USA bagged machines.
