Right. The best way to look at this stuff is understanding that being a mafioso is not any kind of life worth living, and to take all of this stuff at face value and/or for entertainment purposes. I respect those who renounce that lifestyle and try to sway kids (especially those who are very much on the cusp of entering a criminal lifestyle) away from the idea. There is so much glorification from people who were literally removed from that life. Cosa Nostra members view all of these guys as the worst type of person (I'm not saying that's a healthy view). On Cosa Nostra's scale of "toughness" none of these guys have a place. I'm not saying that being a tough guy in the eyes of LCN is any sort of badge of honor. It just sounds so odd when you hear some of these guys who haven't moved past it singing its praises while totally removing themselves from it. Like what's the goal? You can't be on youtube and claim to be a gangster.

Whether someone actually pulled the trigger is moot. If Joe Blow was the getaway driver, you committed murder. If you made a phone call, to set someone up for murder, you’ve committed murder. The person who helps set up someone to be murdered will get charged the exact same as the person who literally pulled the trigger. It does not matter. Pulling the trigger does not make someone “tougher” than the person who plans it, sets it up, or drives the getaway vehicle. Not every made member has actually pulled the trigger. It’s not a “requirement”. However, getting bumped up to the Capo position, 99.99% of the time, you have to personally do it! (Or so I’ve heard!)
@scottyas2092 жыл бұрын
No, there IS a huge difference pulling the trigger, and driving a getaway car. You may be charged the same, you may not (accessory, conspiracy, etc) but so far as “toughness” that’s not Alite’s point if you actually listen…. What he’s saying is, if you romanticize the mob the way Sammy does, young guys think it’s cool to go into a life of crime, and Alite is saying that these guys aren’t the tough guys they romanticize themselves as, they have other guys do their work then hang them out to dry when they need to, and that’s the message, stay away because there is no loyalty, the oath is BS, and any organized crime (gangs, mob, even government) is going to get most guys nothing but the chance to be used as a pawn by their leaders to avoid prosecution, make them money, and eventually end up dead for it.

I just have to laugh about all this, Sammy IMHO was and is not so smart, he had the power of Gotti to do what he did, with all the so called great business he set up. To clarify some and than use your brains. If you sit down to do any kind of biz and you are just a legit guy with a biz and somebody sit in front of you with the name Gotti behind him, what you think how this deal will end, no need to have a lot of brains, just fear is more than enough, Sammy, I cant say nothing about him good or bad because I only know from newspaper ect, and I hear on all those podcast he does, he cant even speak 3 sentence without the word fuck, fuck you fuck them fuck all ect. but at the same time "yes he can talk nice and decent" if he has to talk to ppl more powerful than him, like the hearing before the Senate in 1993..all said I was around intimidating people like him for long long time, and I was in the life for long time not in USA though its all the same, like a beach one is a bit nicer than the other one but than comes water, so I know them very well, its all about intimidation, that's most of their brain power and evidentially we see where most of them end up, dead, jail and obviously broke. Sammy said once, before he got to jail, he had about 750 K cash and and real estate for about a million, as an underboss, well I dont know about you, but for me these are peanuts in this world

As he isn't Italian he could only ever be an associate & never a made member & there's a heap of interviews out there where former gangsters with street cred either say, John who ?? or they aknowlege him but say he was a bit player & definitely nowhere near as big as he says. One thing is for sure, none of the others try to look like a Hollywood gangster in interviews with dark glasses indoors. I’m about 5 minutes in and this guy says Sammy can’t speak a word of Italian!!!! He had full blooded born and raised parents from Italy . Even with out trying he’s gonna pick up the language. My parents never spoke Spanish at home . My grandparents would talk. That’s how I learned as a youngster . Just that statement alone makes me wonder how much truth there is to his stories?????

Some people think John is a bullshitter and I’m sure he does embellish(who doesn’t?) but his story telling is top notch IMO. Since I stumble upon dude he’s become my favorite ex mafioso/associate

How can you like someone that just outright tries to act cool and continually lies? His own "boss", Gotti, never even heard of him.
@BRUISERBROWNBRAND2 жыл бұрын
@@jimmalone4851 yeah because Gotti was a stand up guy along with all the others lmao
