America's First Civil War

In this episode, Chris Calton talks about the Kansas-Nebraska Act, which only compounded the growing tensions over the slavery question. Following the act, Kansas settlers would face voter fraud, leading to the formation of two competing territorial governments. The fallout led to a small-scale civil war.
