So on the no gloves point: The fact that the owner wasn't wearing gloves wasn't the issue. It was the fact that he had touched raw chicken and then didn't wash his hands before touching other things. This can cause cross contamination and get people sick. When you aren't handling things like raw meat, it is totally ok to not have gloves because things like vegetables don't have the kind of bacteria that raw meats can. This is also why you can't store raw meat next to cooked meat as the bacteria from the raw meat can contaminate the cooked meat.
@Joe90h7 ай бұрын
Yeah, even if for whatever reason you put on gloves to handle chicken and then took them off to prepare other ingredients, that's still not ideal because you're definitely cross contaminating while taking those suckers off. Definitely gotta plan your kitchen work around raw meat handling so you do as little of it as possible.
@Bobsteperous7 ай бұрын
And that's also why the master chef guy was so mad about him taking that food from the trash and throwing it back in the freezer, not only was the food already bad by restaurant standards, but you're taking EVERYTHING ELSE from the trash and putting it back in the walk-in.

i prefer to handle ready to eat food with gloves. Its not a hard rule though and you still have to be diligent about handwashing. The variety of standards that you see in kitchens is pretty wild. Some of the fanciest places have bad roach infestations and even a place with the simplest menus still cut corners like you wouldnt believe. I basicly dont trust eating out at all but sometimes you just put that out of your head anyway. Ive only had food poisoning once but its not something youll easily forget. I got it from a pizza place that the risk of that should be very low.
@richgoranski61987 ай бұрын
@@Joe90hThat’s what washing your hands is for. Religiously wearing gloves often leads to more cross contamination because people disregard what they are touching because they are constantly “protected” and changing gloves (the point you’re making). The reason they were mad about the kitchen originally was cross contamination not no gloves. Cross contamination can occur with and without gloves. @christiano5109 as someone who works in healthcare, that mentality concerns me. Even if you're changing gloves regularly, you should be washing your hands between glove changes. That's been considered best practice in all the labs I've worked in, when I worked as a lifeguard, and working in patient care. I've never known a place where hand washing between glove changes isn't a thing. So either you aren't changing your gloves at all during your shift (which is basically the same as bare hands with no hand washing), or you aren't washing your hands between glove changes which still runs the risk of contamination.

To answer the thing about weird censoring, most tv studios see "ass" alone as not a curse word and just referring to donkey. When hole is added, it becomes the curse word. Normally you could just bleep ass but then it leaves open if they said another word before it. So they bleep hole instead. For damn, it's also not a curse word but when adding God before it, it becomes a commandment violation and thus offensive to a limited group of people, so they treat it as a curse word. They can bleep half of it, though, and be fine.

I'm so sorry about your contract compelling you to cover bar rescue videos for the rest of your life..... On the plus side, we'll enjoy it thoroughly!

I used to live near the Dugout in Wrigleyville. One thing to know about Chicago is that there are a lot of converted two or three flat apartment buildings that have been turned into retail or bar locations. The Dugout definitely was a shotgun style basement apartment at some point . There are tons of places like this on the northside of the city.

I know I shouldn't laugh but when John throws the fishbowl it was just so out of left field that I just started dying laughing and now wiping tears for my eyes😂😂😂

i think the problem with drinking games and bar rescue is that bar rescue has simply too many iconic moments. jon taffer is an american hero

22:10 uM aCtUaLlY, the forest "planet," Endor, and the Wookie planet are 3 different things. Wookies come from the planet Kashyyyk. The planet of Endor is never actually shown in detail in the series; the forest "planet" is actually one of Endor's moons, and it's home to the Ewoks, not the Wookies.
