No their not! They are upgrading the existing airframes with new Rolls Royce engines produced here in the United States. Additionally, the avionics and cockpit displays are getting a new update.

I just came to write that these aren't brand new B-52's just rebuilt one's. The last time this plane would have been considered new was 1981 considing the last new build fresh off the factory floor B-52 was 1962. I guess the correct term would be renewed but not new.

She's a bigger and more adept bomb truck than anything else the USAF has. I did not see sufficient American flags or razzmatazz.
