I used to believe this. Until I heard Whitney Huston sing The Star Spangled Banner. Or Gerald Wilson sing God Bless America. Or the US Field Army sing the Battle Hymn of the Republic (as he dies to make men holy, let us die to make men free). Or the Boston Children sing Lift Every Voice and Sing. I ended up deciding they're all our National Anthems. We are a great enough country, we deserve more than just one anthem 😂

There was only one night game a year. On the Fourth of July, the whole sky would brighten up with fireworks, giving us just enough light for a game. We played our best then because, I guess, we all felt like the big leaguers under the lights of some great stadium. Benny felt like that all the time. We all knew he was gonna go on to bigger and better games, because every time we stopped to watch the sky on those nights like regular kids, he was there to call us back. You see, for us, baseball was a game. But for Benjamin Franklin Rodriguez, baseball was life.

I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. What makes America so incredible is the people within it, not the ones who govern them. The declaration of Independence is why, and the Constitution is how we keep Americans free from tyranny. Oh beautiful, for heroes proved, In liberating strife, Who more than self, our country loved, And mercy more than life, America, America, may God thy gold refine, Till all success be nobleness And every gain devined. And you know when I was in school, We used to sing it something like this, listen here: Oh beautiful, for spacious skies, For amber waves of grain, For purple mountain majesties, Above the fruited plain, But now wait a minute, I'm talking about America, sweet America, You know, God done shed his grace on thee, He crowned thy good, yes he did, in a brotherhood, From sea to shining sea. You know, I wish I had somebody to help me sing this (America, America, God shed his grace on thee) America, I love you America, you see, My God he done shed his grace on thee, And you oughta love him for it, Cause he, he, he, he, crowned thy good, He told me he would, with brotherhood, (From sea to shining sea). Oh Lord, oh Lord, I thank you Lord (Shining sea).

Absolutely; I've been saying that "America The Beautiful" should be the replacement National Anthem for years. It's easier to sing, and doesn't glorify war. Anyone else think so?

I don't believe I've ever heard of anyone else only Ray singing America the Beautiful. Every time I hear this song by Ray I feel the love of God and his grace upon me. America is the only chosen country other than Israel in the world, it is here for a reason. It is to be a righteous country. God has promised us if we would only remember Him and repent He would protect this nation . The United States is a nation under God and when that changes we will be destroyed as a nation. I believe we are in the beginning stages now.

This is my America. The one I grew up in, surrounded by friends, outside until the porch light came on, drinking from the hose, laughing, church, no fear cause we felt we could trust the election process and we were safe. I miss the simple life it was. It wasn’t always easy, but it was a good life. God, we need you now. Forgive us. Wrap us in your grace and rid us of this tyranny. Bless the people of Canada, Father.
