My personal opinion is - I live in Bay area. In US also parents always push their kids into STEM field & thats what is also prevalently boasted everywhere that Indians shine in STEM. So, in that sense, i feel US school education doesnt matter so much for such Indian parents. Given that, i feel US is good for higher education & india is good for school education. Doing schooling in India & coming here for college or higher education is good. Because, even though US schools has got great infrastructure & resources - still first generation non immigrants from India are excelling in STEM field here than the kids born/raised here in US. This is the data.

Bro and Sister. There are pros and Cons on both side. Our great grandfathers who lived in India are from complex multi family structure. You don t have the burden of brining the family on your own. everything comes up with Plus and minus. we need to take what suits us better. Education wise you can count on Us till High school where public schooling is good and free. But not good in all places. MA, NJ and some states are good in education and they have top schools. But the higher education is very costlier and it adds debt to the student and that is impacting their life after school. There is no surety of social security in US in coming years and that is taken care by the government and you don't need this much expenses in India. After staying in US for more than a decade and i feel India is still best and Us is good for earning and coming back and settling in our retirement life is good. Even people who gets citizenship are going back to India and settling there.

Two things I think many are thinking slightly wrong!! One is what you said,,, weather,,, here in many states, almost 8 months, it is jail life,, very cold,,, cannot go around freely like in india,,, even if it is hot,, can compensate with AC,,, the cold here, can't go out freely ..second many people feel is good because of freedom in life and decision making!!! Same bounces back to you tooo soon. Your kids will start an independent life early and you'll be left alone without the benefit of meeting cousins or relatives like india,,, what will you do after kids finish 12th? fter 9th itself, they want independence,, and even very close friends here don't interfere with personal life,,, loneliness is not a choice, its a compulsory way of life here.
@ArthiPrem Жыл бұрын
I agreed with the point about the children here … they will became independent once they started college life.. and we forcefully started loneliness life and what u said its correct , its not a choice.. but point about weather is having different perspective , if you are going north carolina , atlanta , Tennessee and California those are good weather and having very mild winter.. but in chennai or most of the places in tamilnadu weather is too hot till now , usually august should be good weather on our place but its very hot like april month.. so weather wise USA offering more I believe

In India only millions of people like us leave the country and our parents and go abroad. In the US after kids settle down with a job we can always move to the place where they live, why do we have to stay far away from them if they live in the same country??? Doesn't make any sense.

@@bhu5991 I have relatives in NJ who are retired, their health care will be covered by Medicaid and Medicare, they live nearby their children's house in the same city. Question to you, if you would prefer US level of scrutiny before passing a student in India too, why can't such a scrutiny be there for admitting into a college? Do you know it is against your own philosophy of social justice? In fact, the opposition are against any scrutiny either before passing a student or before admitting a student. Hence, the Indian central govt. stopped with just NEET. what's your opinion now?

America is made for road trips for sure. Public restrooms are clean, which is the biggest drawback when you think about doing anything like that back home. Work culture with micromanagement is definitely a large reason why we see many Indians avoiding even their US equivalent (TCS Americas, CTS Americas etc). It is a shame, as otherwise, those companies are actually pretty good.

@MiraMisa7167 Жыл бұрын
I am retired. We have to retire in the US as our children are here. We don’t want to live away from them and make it difficult for them to care for us. Plus, we want to enjoy our grandchildren. And, by the time we retire, we have lived in the US for nearly 40 years and have changed in our thinking and way of living. It will be difficult to live in India. I decided to retire early at age 59, and now 63. I enjoy my retired life carefree and get to see my son frequently. Going to India is not an option for me after living here for 37 years (lived longer in US (37+ years of adult life) than living in India (barely 26 years--most of my years in India was just my childhood and growing up))

Here are some of the reasons why our family is still here.. not in particular order 1. No relatives/ peer pressure (we don’t have much Indian friends) no one knows what we do and leave us alone. We mostly decide how to spend every single day. 2. Comfort, safety and quality of life. I have an almost teen age daughter and feel safe here than India. 3. I feel very happy and comfortable in my current job than my job when I worked in India. 4. I can’t lie. I save more here. Even during my PhD days i was able to live roll on credit and loan. I was able to payoff my loans but I Can’t imagine living in India in that salary with family. 5. Hopefully my kids have a better future than my wife and myself.

Work culture is much better in the US, but as usual Indians wherever they go, they like to spoil the same. Regarding Bangalore, it has turned into a garbage city, no longer garden city, commuting is horrible there and water scarcity has reached its peak there, courtesy increase in high rise buildings. Flooding during monsoon, pollution, noise pollution, traffic snarls, corruption at every level, all these are the order of day in India.
