As a Korean, I have something to say to those of you watching this video. The things that the Korean girl in this video is talking about are not the same in all Korean schools. It depends on the nutritionist who works at each school and the rules of the school. I am also very confused by this video. Because her experience in a Korean school is very different from my experience. lol In my school, we had a separate cafeteria, and we could eat as much extra food as we wanted, and sometimes we could drink chocolate milk or strawberry milk, and boys and girls ate in the same space. I think that girl's school had very strict rules. 😂😂

In America, it's been a while since I was in school for lunches, but the entrees that I recall were pizza, spaghetti, hamburger, chicken strips, and tacos. Drinks were almost always milk cartons. Once I reached high school, rarely did I have the prepped school lunches and opted for a la carte.

Although it isn’t common. We in America do eat in our classrooms if we are busy with homework that we didn’t complete the night before. I used to do that all the time because I didn’t want to do it at home. Also, the library was a spot we could go to as well.

My school doesn’t have a cafeteria so kids eat out or get school lunch and eat in hallways or in classrooms that are open

my old high school had a snack bar where they sold $1.75 strawberry or blueberry protein shakes, the only time people eat lunch in the classroom was when they either go to lunch when its not their period ( most kids get assigned a period 1,2,3 for lunch) the second time is when we got the leftovers and some like to finish it during class

They glorified the American lunch 😭😭 It’s usually a soggy piece of pizza with cheese that tastes like plastic, dry baby carrots, fruit in a cup (It’s not as good as it sounds), and spoiled milk (yes, there have been many incidents where the milk in the paper cartons have gone bad and curdled). 🤢😬

for American lunch we didn’t have juice at all. It was all milk, regular and chocolate. And if you wanted water or a different drink you would have to pay for it. Don’t know why they made us pay for water though💀

日本の給食見て思ったのは配膳の位置が違う！！！！！！！！！主食は左下、汁物は右下、奥におかず！または主菜は右上、副菜は左上って決まってるのに〜！日本人以外が配膳したのすぐにバレるꉂ🤭︎‪

As a Japanese, it's really weird to see eating curry with chopsticks. It is not common to eat curry with chopsticks at school, in restaurants or at home As far as I can remember, I've never seen curry and bread combined at school. Usually we eat school curry with white rice

it's sort of funny how students here eventually got tired of the pizza, since at my school it was served every day. goes to show that you need variety even when it's somethin good. also! when they were talkin about havin different menus based on different cultures, we had days like that at my highschool too. (public highschool)

only in my country u have different food everyday? we have 2 dishes and its just soup and some dish like potatoes with meat or spaghetti or just any other dish and "kompot" which is like a juice made from boiled fruits mostly strawbeeries. it sounds weird but its really good also in my school milk was only on special days like once a month or even longer

I’m very confused by what the korean said. I’m korean and I’ve never had lunch in a classroom at school and we had a separate cafeteria. I can say all korean public schools have a cafeteria except for a very particular reason. I wonder which school she went to.

日本の給食はそんな変な組み合わせじゃないですカレーの時はライスだからパンは出ないし、箸でカレーを食べるなんてありえませんそれにコロッケとポテトサラダってどっちも芋だし…パンもあるのに炭水化物多すぎ… 日本の給食は栄養士さんがきちんと栄養バランスを考えて作られています、だからこんなにおかしな組み合わせになる事はありえないです。

年に一度、海外の料理のメニューが出たり、セレクト給食で2種類のデザートや料理を事前に好きな方を選んで食べられる日が楽しみだったw あと、ミルメイクの出る日はめずらしく牛乳の取り合いだった😊 コッペパンとマーガリンは今でも食べたい！けど普通には売ってないから寂しい。

Korean lunch looks interesting, American lunch brings back fond memories. I, do like the item served in Japanese lunch. If I can make a mixed lunch, I would Combine Japanese style with American.

My school would allow seconds as long as everyone had gone through the line first. But I went to a small school. My high school only had 300 students and most would leave for lunch and eat at subway.

Need 0:53 upper right hand for the American cafeteria, cheapest procured institution pizza-like food from the lowest cost bid from Sysco or Shwan's, experience. Where the structure isn't from gluten and high temperature bake, but from it being a centimeter thick stodgy dough that is low proofed white bread or low sugar pancake mix. This picture must be post reform, I do not recognize the thing in the upper left or upper right tray compartments, I assume they are licensed Post or Kellogg's branded high fructose fruit inspired snack and a Lay's branded corn or potato based snack with "natural" colors.

Yoo in my schools, if you got 2 lunches it meant you took someones because they can see who got lunch already 😭 and the pizza was always offered and nasty yet edible. Best lunches were the wings (on Superbowl week and other events) and nachos every other Friday 😆

In British secondary schools the meals differ one day we have rice and curry other days we have pasta but Fridays we get fish or sausage with chips and pizza and if you want chocolate chip cookies or even rice crispy cakes if their not finish by the time your there and like I a America we eat in canteen and it’s kinda crazy everyone will run (even thought we’re not allowed too)

It's so funny that Songsun said that in Korea they don't have cafeterias. Maybe she meant in high schools? I worked in 2 different Korean elementary schools- one big and in a city, and the other small and in the countryside- and both had cafeterias haha. All the kids and the teachers would eat there at the same time.

맞아요! 급식실 있어요~ 그리고 급식판에 후식도 있어야 되고!! 급식실도 남녀 같이 써요!! 초등학교때도 그랬어요!! 지금 이랑 영상에 나온거랑 많이 다르네요.. 요즘중고딩 학생들이 와서 설명해주는게 더 정확했으거 같네요..😢 너무 달라요!!

미국급식이 가장 나쁩니다. 미국에서도 이것때문에 큰 문제죠. 학교 급식이 완전 정크푸드가 돼버렸다고요. 이게 레이건 정부 때 학교 급식비를 줄이는 바램에 지금까지 이렇게 엉망이 됐습니다. 건강에는 일본급식이 나트륨 같은게 적게 들어가니 제일 좋을거 같고 맛과 양은 한국급식이 최고네요. 물론 학교에 따라 다르겠지만.
