Most of these are still available, so the title doesn’t make sense.

That’s what I was saying. Not a bad video, just disingenuous in its title.
@moonwolfv6718 ай бұрын
I think they actually say that ALL of them are still available. It seems to be a running thing in all of these videos.

Author Stephen King touches on this in his novel 11-22-63 about a man who travels back in time to that date or just before to try and stop the JFK assassination. In the opening chapters the protagonist describes walking into an American diner of the era . He describes how everything looks different, smells better, tastes better and of course much cheaper. He also delights in how pleasant and non pressured people are - both customers and staff.

The commercials aren't from the 30s and 40s???
@jeffcarlson32698 ай бұрын
at least they had enough decency to show the almond joy bars as they were originally produced with 2 almonds per piece... not the single almond of today's almond joys... perhaps.. the presenter did not know that almond joys have gotten chintzy on their almonds within the past decade... I think at the beginning of the almond joy presentation they DID show a brief glimpse of the single almond newer bar...

They stated Almond Joy first came out I 1946?!?!? So, why are they shown in snacks from 1930's?!?!

MOST of the people who were alive in 1930 are no longer with us so this video has a tiny audience

Nestle's Quik.... I guarantee it was Not referred to as Nesquik in the 1930's Nor did it come in the plastic pre mixed containers... either.. that are shown here

and why are corn dogs even mentioned as a product in the 30's?... as well as many other candies begun in the 40's mentioned here...stay on topic guys..! the 1930's remember guys?.. I don't need to wste my time watching a video about candies.. I remember from my childhood..

I am sorry but dots taste like they are still selling the ones made in the 30s
@jeffcarlson32698 ай бұрын
I disagree with a video.. that shares snacks from the 30's while presenting them with modern commercials.. advertising the products.. and showing the products in forms that did Not exist in the 1930's... for example the Fritos.. they talk about the 5 cent cost.. but yet they do not produce a bag from that era.. so the viewer can actually see what a 5 cent bag of Fritos looked like when it was first introduced.. and then they throw in a lot of new variations.. of this corn chip that did Not even exist until the 90's.. totally irrelevant to their point..

AND why for the loved of God.. were Dots drops presented at 2 different spots in this video..?... did they forget they already told their story once..?.. just like this video... FORGETTABLE..!..

Only watched the first 3 products, but these aren't items no longer available--as in part of the title of this clip: things we want back. Misleading.
